I do really hope we get some news on this soon. And I really hope he maybe is switched to a Rogue One/OT Darth Vader. This and the Stormtrooper 1/4 scale are must haves for me. All I ever wanted when HT got the license was 1/4 Fett, Vader and Stormtrooper.

They waited too long and the Iron Studios came along and I'm glad. Getting it instead. Only thing that might tempt me would be if they did a Jedi version with an extra reveal sculpt. But that seems unlikely.

I really wonder if HT has totally backed away from additional 1/4 scale Star Wars? How do you not crank out a Vader in this time frame? Rogue One would've been the ideal time to do so. That moment just passed with the Blu-Ray release...

Saw this in person today. Looked really nice. Definitely not a ROTS version, definately not a new hope. Belt and chest was unpainted. I'll try to throw pictures up later but lots of glare through the glass showcase.

Haha I know. Really I love all the potential Palpatines, Royal Guards, Hoth Leia etc.....

But I don't care. I just want to see quarter scale Vader and Stormtrooper put up for PO (and the HS Fett [emoji76])

Here's the best of the pics I took... The glare off the glass case was killer and he was high up.. Sorry if they come up sideways..









His gloves look like the ones from the 1/6 ANH Vader.. The part on the back of the hand is separate from the hands themselves. ANd like I said no paint on belt box or chest piece..

Ok every time we see this Vader the helmet looks different. This is an ever evolving helmet. Yet the body seems to still be very much ROTS.

Yep he's too cheekie...
the lenses should be almost flat, just curved vs bubbled

And the helmet should have a softer transition between the dome and the skirt especially above the eyebrows
That's definitely an it dome but it looks more re like the jakks deluxe Vader with light saber swing action than an actual ot dome
There are so many examples of the sith helmet around I'm surprised they couldn't nail this down Plus all the studio pics with Hayden in costume in various poses

The rest of the costume seems decent. I hope they have the cut of the cape right since it isn't as enveloping as the ot cape at least it seems that way because it lies along the shoulders instead of covering them
