Now that's a 1/4 Vader I can get behind. I can't rep you anymore right now, Centurion. I'll get ya when I can. But in all actuality, I'd buy any version of Vader in 1/4 scale. WTF Hot Toys, whats taking so long?

ANH Vader in 1/4, with a Tantive IV base, and a couple of troopers behind him.

That's would be an amazing base actually. It would stand out because that is how we were first introduced to this awesome character. Maybe a rebel trooper helmet lying about.

You guys shouldn't get your hopes up. Everything shown to this point has been ROTS Episode III Vader. Those catalog pics are most likely of the specs/pics that they're sitting on, which means the product photography for the figure is done.

As far as all the shows and those catalog pics go,

Helmet - ROTS
Shoulder armor - ROTS
Chest box with far left red rectangle - ROTS
No chest box straps - ROTS
Gloves - ROTS
Insulated body suit and proportions- ROTS
Codpice armor - ROTS
Lightsaber hilt - ROTS


My prediction is that the only unseen surprise that will come with this 1/4 Vader are all the different hands and maybe a second headsculpt and unmasked pieces. They're going to have to make it worth that $650 price tag they're inevitably going to charge, unless that extra expense will be the light up chest, belt boxes and second saber.

ROTJ Vader costumer here. I am currently working on upgrading my costume for 501st membership and I can confidently say that I am fairly well verse which the differences between Vaders.

The one on the left is obviously an ROTS Vader but the one of the left is an ROTJ helm on an ROTS body.

You can tell it is an ROTJ helm because of the brows which is more prominent on that helm. There is also a complete lack of widow's peak of any kind on that. The paint job is totally off though but the sculpt is quite spot on. The most telling feature is of course the neck. Notice how it sits on top of the armour?

The ROTS version neck sits under the armour.

And since HT actually went through the trouble of making an ROTJ helm that must mean there are also having an 1/4 ROTJ Vader in the pipeline somehow.

It's possible, as the last time they showed it they had a new helmet sculpt. They also labeled it as being from A New Hope and "new".
