It probably is too expensive but I just say screw it, I aint gonna be buying very much of this stuff anymore, no way I'm passing on the first Weller sculpt Robocop there's ever been, and one that nails it first time out at that. Just buy it and be done. After the standard of these Robocop figures I may just pass on Robocop 2 stuff. I mean if I can I will buy them but if my finances at the time dictate that I shouldn't then I think I'll find it easy enough to let the hype pass over and just be happy with what I have from the first film.

i agree with that logic 100%.... but i am really building a custom collection and thats hitting me hard. so mostly 8/10 that i buy right now are customs, which also i will pull a plug once i have some of my fav ones. Hot Toys is doing very "current" characters for me and i am infact worried how to sell all my already collected umpteen hot toys. I will be keeping classics like godfather, brucelee, scarface, inglorous *******s etc... and yes everything terminator (everything) .

bottom line i envision my collection to have buckets: a) everything terminator, b) almost everything nolan, c) custom made classic characters that i like (here i will not buy any and every for completion sake but just classic ones i like)

It's not so much that it's a "rip-off" per se, it's that all the mark downs and coupons seem to be pre-built into the MRSP. I tend to like being a day one pre-order person, but over time I'm seeing even highly desirable figures go coupon eligible, in addition to other incentives, like double or triple rewards points, before the pre-order is done. Just seems full retail is sort of for suckers, since it is guaranteed to at least go coupon eligible. There's no incentive to pre-order right away, basically.

This is true, I kind of regret my last few purchases for that reason
Besides, plenty of youtube video reviews of the figure that can help hold me over until a more reasonable price

Way things seem to work nowadays, it will go coupon eligible without a doubt, and maybe other incentives, too. BD Terminator went triple rewards points, for example, while still on PO. Going to let both this and HT's Stormtroopers ride to see what I can shave off.

SSC doesn't ship to Australia, so the coupons are usless to me.

Those of you complaining about the 300.00 price point might want to re think that considering SS's X-Wing Pilot is 240.00!!! Damn same sculptor as Snake Plisken but at like 100.00 dollars more. Yeah I would rather pay 60.00 more and get a Hot Toy Robo.

Yeah, not preordering this right now. As cool as it is, there's absolutely zero reasons to do so. It will become cheaper, somehow. Coupon, even a sale on spooktacuar next year.

Not worried, not one bit.

Days of day one PO's are dead to me. EX? Who cares really. There hasn't been a significant one that makes paying full price worth it IMO.

I don't really regret the £50 deposit I gave ToyHQ on this one, I know it won't be available for a long LONG time to come but luckily I don't have to pay for the thing until it finally drops and if circumstances change I'll just waiver the £50 deposit and cancel the order. By that time I won't even remember putting down the said deposit (I'll have long earned it back).

Nah haven't pre ordered him yet(when you set up payment plans it tells you when the first payment is), also yeah the NRD has stopped me, but like I said I'll just wait, if I see like a alert saying only 50 left then maybe I'll hop on board. But I got a feeling this one will be around like the original one, I pre ordered regular Robo in August, so I might just wait a month before they "ship" him and pre order then, as of right now the state of collectables is a damper on me and its best to not have to worry about another payment every month. Thank God I don't have a girlfriend right now she would of left my *** days ago

Totally. The only issue for me, has ever been if the thing is actually going to sell out, then I jump on so as not to miss out.

The BD helmet with the Enterbay Robo is one of the only EX in recent times that actually made any difference. I didn't realise it was an EX but by the time I did I'd already decided I didn't want the package enough for the price. But when I realised it didn't even come with that piece, that did make a difference; I wanted the regular that little bit less.

But generally, Superman with a Kryptonite necklace... unless you're gonna pose the guy cowering on his knees, I can't see the need. Or Snake Plissken's tape. That doesn't really say much on display other than look at this EX, or perhaps, mind if we play Van Halen in the car?

it really depends when I bought the HT's Predator the original that came with the SS ex. helmet I got more in the secondary market for it, so it all depends on what you plan on doing with the figure down the line, but yeah I don't think people are going to be giving a arm or a leg over Snake's tape, that EB ex. might be good when and if you sell that Robo down the line.

For sure man. And if rumors are to be believed (Weller charging insane amounts of Dólares) then these things are going to be overproduced much like Jack Nicholson Joker. Even with the low quantity alert, that's usually SSC's way to lure customers.

I'd wait closer to release date for sure. Save that money tho! Sucks paying all of that at once!

Paying $600 sucked though, I've seen deals to be had on that guy here and there, helmet included. Never again. Unless of course is G1 transformers related. Those are always day one.

Holy **** I thought it came with the 400.00 price tag, dude from one person to another, I hope you can get most of that back if you need to later down the line, but to the right collector, if you are patient will pay anything, also collectable stock market has to be good, but I've seen a decline since like 2010 the days of getting 600.00 like I did for my HT's Predator 2 V.1 are gone, especially considering I got like 350.00 for the predator from the first movie 2 years later, after I sold the Predator city hunter.

I do remember a member selling it for in the $400s but that's the only time I've seen the price that low
I paid full retail and have no regrets, it's a great piece
