I'll be in the minority but favorite new trooper look from R1. Death Trooper is cool but we've seen black armor (shadow) before and the tank driver looks cool but wait to see if he does anything but drive. If that's all then meh....

Every new movie will attract peoplw who have never seen the OT or PT, both of which feature lightly armored troopers with no thigh armor.

Both the Snow and Scout troopers did not have thigh armor, I really don't get the hate for this. If you just don't like the design, that's cool, but not liking it because it doesn't have thigh armor is a head scratcher to me.

I just can't get past the pants They look like cos-players who just didn't finish. "Oh crap, we gotta get in line for Hall H! Screw it, we don't need the leg armor!" "wait these are the wrong boots." "Forget the boots, lets go!" " okay if we act casual, everyone will think we dressed like this on purpose." ....

Obviously the design of the Shoretrooper is influenced by late Renaissance half armor.

Shoretroopers remind me a lot of one of my favorite SW trooper designs, the Scout Trooper. So far this is the only thing I have on order from R1, so I'm really looking forward to getting mine!

The gun and the helmet look cool. I think they'd look better if they were more color coordinated maybe if the pants were khaki or camo

Just watched the movie and it was kinda "meh", maybe I'll need a second screening to really get into it.

But! Got to know that a squad of Shoretroopers operate in 4, 3 grunts and 1 squad leader. Not sure how the captain comes into play, but definitely getting it!

They got more screen time than tank commander, that's for sure. I like them. They don't look so stupid in the movie, maybe it's because nobody call them there "shoretroopers".

First star wars figure for me. Ordered just on the strength of the design. I'm a real sucker for dirty armored troopers. Would strongly consider buying any of the others if HT releases them.

It makes for amazing Cosplay/Costuming also. I'm not into that stuff but the design lends itself to looking very cool.
