I hope the robe is easy enough to place over the armor...

I passed on the last version due to the price and funky gloves. This one may have fewer bells and whistles, but the price is right. Probably gonna get him.

Shoulder bells have been corrected.
Nice shiny anh style helmet.
Great improvement with the gloves.
Too bad no lightsaber blade for now...
Proportions look more rots (big codpiece, low chest box)
Eyes look a little large ...

Why do people say this is better than ANH? They both look exactly the same (not counting minor things like gloves and weathering effects etc).

Am I missing something here?

No, you're not missing anything. People just see things they want to.

Hot Toys is going to minimize its efforts and maximize its profits. Besides the stitched pleating in the robe (which does nothing to solve the real problem which happens below the belt) and the new gloves, it all looks the same to me too.

I just started collecting HT and I was about to buy the ANH Vader but this is really what I want.

But ******* this better come with a light up blade. I'll probably buy it regardless and see a 3rd party or extra option, but it's just ****ing stupid to not include one, regardless of if he uses it in the movie.

My sentiments as well.

Weathering effects, gloves and the cod piece are the only differences I see. It's a nice looking figure, but I don't see how it's vastly improved over the ANH one. I'm perfectly fine with ANH Vader; in fact, I prefer it.

These will probably be some of the most expensive 1/6 hands you will find parted out. The demand is going to be high. Can't imagine buying this considering that I already own ANH version. The next and last HT Vader I buy should be ESB/Jedi version.

Yep. ebay will have them for $20 for one pair of hands. The full set will cost you $100 easy.

TA will likely have them for $79.99 for the full set... then bump to $99.99 when they see how fast those go.

At this point, so many people want them that I'd be shocked to NOT see them recast and sold on ebay.

It comes with a backlit mega stand, they may have a plastic ignited blade included, but at $249, do you really think you're going to see a light up blade?

The backdrops they're doing to promote pre-orders look suspiciously like thin cardboard.

I'm totally fine with just a plastic ignited blade. I mean they gotta include that, what does it cost a nickel to make?

But he's got nothing down there.

He left it behind on Mustafar.

If they can make a mechanical hand with 5 fingers they can surely do other things....

But seriously that cod piece is annoying me. Would be the perfect piece otherwise.

Maybe it can be pushed back a bit ? I guess it's too late now for them to change it. Not that they probably read forums like this.

Nice but I'm only interested in OT stuff. I'll only try to get the separate hands/gloves if they fit on the HT ANH Vader.

Yep, guess they're just double sided pieces of crap... I mean cardboard. This really does look like its going to sell a lot of these to places that part out. Gentlemen, get ready to grab your hands.
