Watching the movie a second time, it does look like he could be a bit dirty and scuffed up at the end. Even if it's not really clear how he ended up that way since it didn't look like any of the rebels' gunfire actually hit him. I guess from all the sparks flying around or something? Or the decompression of space?

A request from someone to see how the ANH robe looks over the armour.

One thing I've noticed is that there is some mesh padding on his backside and a padded vest to give him some bulk in the chest. Despite this it seems that the figure is not as buff as the ANH version , this was confirmed when I tried the ANH belt on the RO figure and found it was loose.

I'm loving this figure, I think it is a very good base if you don't already have the ANH Vader.

That to me is a good thing no? Wasn't the original ANH version pretty fat?

Even though I liked the film and Vader during his small parts in it was a beast, I don't think I'll be picking this one up after contemplating doing so, being that I liked how bad *** he was. The figure looks relatively accurate (sans the tunic underneath the shoulder armor) to how he looked in the film, but I'm going to maintain my conviction that if you already have the ANH version, there's no need to have this one as well. To me, it's essentially a slightly cleaner/shinier version of the ANH look. If I didn't already have ANH Vader, I'd probably get this one.

It would be difficult enough for me to have two Vaders as it is (when realistically you only need one), so it'd be even more difficult to have two that are essentially the same look with the tunic over the shoulder armor. If I did pick up another Vader, it'd likely be an ESB version. The differences are a least a bit more vast between ANH and ESB than they are from R1 to ANH, in my opinion. Plus, ESB is my favorite SW film in general.

I was tempted to jump on this but bbts is sold out. I have the ss rotj first version. Anyone with both mind giving me a breakdown and tell me what you like better or worse?

Has anyone out of the box fixed the tunic on this and simply put it over the shoulder armor, the way it is in the film?

I think it is all personal preference. I actually think it looks better not over the shoulder armor.

Not crazy about the chest box. I ordered this one for parts. My current plan is:

Rogue One:
- Helmet
- Gloves
- Body
- Suit
- Boots
- Belt/Boxes

ANH:
- Inner Robe
- Chestbox
- Cod Piece (or SS codpiece)

Undecided:
- Cape

Funny. I was just watching a YouTube video that addresses this very question...

Just saw that video also. His figure looks really good with the tunic over the armor like that. Just needs to slide the belt boxes next to the buckle on each side. Really does make a world of difference.

I really would like that belt and those boxes for my ANH Vader.
