Going to do the HT helmet (have the ANH, may get the RO) and put it on my ROTJ Vader. I think it will be amazing in hand,

Wow, with the RO mask/helmet the SS looks like the better figure.

And the tunic over the armor still looks meh.

I've said this before that the SS version really has a width, thickness to it that makes it more imposing than the HT version.

Ahoy!

I went ahead and broke the figure down again to try different combinations.. This time all stock because I wanted to share some shots of the shoulder/chest armor and how it improves head articulation. The chest piece is a too broad for ANH and is more in line with ESB in that regard, but for what its worth...

The neck opening is much bigger allowing for more dynamic movement, but still giving the illusion of the helmet resting on the armor.

Cheers,

Eyes are nice and red. My major complaint would be the belt. It came undone and it was a pain in the arse to get back into place. It just feels loose as if it could pop with the slightest movement to the waist.

I received the Rogue One Ultimate Visual Guide today.

All three photos of RO Vader on his page are with the robes under his armour, as in the promo shots.

But then there seems to be a mass of things that weren't seen in the film, unless I missed such gruesome sights as 'The Decraniated'. :horror

(Page 74 has the most unsettling Star Wars image I've seen!)

Don't know if you meant Vader...or the other, so here's both:

The Decraniated:

The image I couldn't believe I was looking at:

Then a few pages later something that looks like it came from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:

It's a really good book, and highly recommended.

That brings up the question again that I can't seem to figure out, because I've heard both: Are figure heights when considered to be "in scale", intended to be based on the actual heights of the actors and actresses, or the heights of the intended characters in canon?

If the latter, then R1 and ANH Vader figures should be the same height, because it's the same Vader.

For me personally, if the heights look roughly about right when just eyeballing it, then I'm good. :lol

Man I had an argument on reddit with a few people over SH Figuarts Capt Phasma about this. Gwendolyn Christie is about the same height as Adam Driver; and this guy kept talking about a SW reference that showed Phasma as being taller than Kylo by several inches. And I just kept saying, "You saw the movie right? She doesn't tower over him. She doesn't wear 4" heels." Some guy somewhere made up "exactly" how tall Phasma is without regard to real life and a guy was reciting it like it was the gospel instead of the movie itself.

So is it easy to put the robes over the armor and vice versa if you want to switch it back and forth, or once you switch to robes over the armor it's hard to switch back :dunno

Yeah I know his appearance is kinda supposed to be a spoiler, but it still seemed odd to me that in the Imperial Officer section there was no sign whatsoever of Tarkin.

Of course the TFA Visual Guide left out anything having to do with Luke's appearance (or even what Kylo looked like without the mask), so I probably shouldn't have been surprised.

Its easy. I've done half a dozen times now, switching between RO and SS robes. Everything is removable.
