Man I don't know what I want now. The New Hope version was good with sound, and lightup lightsaber etc.
The Rogue One version certainly looks better with the polished helmet, nicer gloves and sweet backdrop. But that codpiece is just too big and no lightsaber ! Can't have Vader without a lightsaber. Man why do they make it so hard ?

This looks pretty cool, but having the ANH Vader, I can live without this.
The cod-piece certainly looks large...
While I like the sculpted gloves a lot, I really like the light-up saber, and this one won't have that.

If I had the funds, I'd probably buy this one and then kit-bash my ultimate Vader.

Man... I want those gloves. Figure looks great and if I didn't have an ANH version I'd be all over it. I notice they don't show any pictures with the ignited blade and that seems to be missing. Wonder if that means he never actually uses his lightsaber in the film, that's something they will reveal later, or they are trying to not piss off people that bought the original version.

That's bordering on blasphemy that Vader has no lightsaber. I think they're holding off on it. I mean I can't imagine in a million years that fanboy Gareth Edwards would pass up having Vader in full action against the rebels in a war film.....c'mon it's a given.

Sideshow often get their figures 6-8 weeks after they release in Hong Kong.

Glad I passed on the ANH one now. The proportions, gloves, and tunic look a bit better on this, and the dome looks like it's already been lowered the right amount too.

It's a bit more glossed up than I'd like, but it still looks like it could be modified into a proper ANH Vader with a lot less work than the previous figure.

Waiting for BBTS. And it seems like there won't be a blade... Chances are I won't display him with the blade, but it would be nice to have.

Personally I also think this is why they went with the super polished "before" Vader Rogue One version. And the New Hope version is matt etc. It's what I'd do to try and make him different but yet the same fitting with what we already have.

Think ill need to grab this one... passed one all the other Vader releases for one reason or another,,,
Wonder how hard / easy it would be to hunt down a red blade for his hilt....

I thought the Rogue One Vader movie costume was a copy of the ANH suit?

That's what the director promised, but looks like the studio still couldn't resist cleaning and glossing him up a bit more, and giving us a more "idealized" version of ANH Vader. Unless maybe it's only after a battle in Rogue One that he ends up looking so worn and beat up...

Either way though, it at least looks a lot better than ROTS Vader did.
