How does it work for the bloggers, do they go out and buy the figure like everyone else or does HT give them a figure a few days early?

I'm pretty sure they buy them like everyone else. The photos always come out within the day that the figure is released.

The "bloggers" get them beforehand and take meticulous photo shoots with photoshopped backgrounds at times, and the photos are clearly embargoed until the official release. They're not just getting them that day and throwing up amazing photos of sandtroopers or Boba Fett in the desert and whatnot.

They must be holding it because of the light saber. If it isn't officially revealed that he uses the saber before the film comes out, we won't see the figure until then. I know the photos leaked, but not everyone saw them so it's still a surprise to some.

He's barely in the film so I can't imagine that's a reason they have.

Yeah, I didn't really think about how long that takes. I think I remember OMG posting teaser pictures a day in advance, once, now that I think about it. He always maintained that he didn't work for hot toys though so I've always assumed they bought them like everyone else.

Maybe, but I still would have expected them to get closer than they did. Especially when even amateurs on the RPF can put together a more convincing ANH Vader costume:

Yeah now the picture above is accurate. So stupid question, Star Wars - Rebels takes place a few years b/f ANH? Yet Vader is seen with the robes over his armor? OMG I have to nitpick the robe thingy from RO...

I finished it last week, the Audible version. I really enjoyed it although it was a bit slow in many places. Good set up for the movie and along with Tarkin and Krennic my favorite parts were those involving the Kyber crystals.

I just finished yesterday. Audible is so good for these new Star Wars stories with the full sound effects, music and different accents for different characters. Lost Stars was also great. But Catalyst is a must read/hear for any serious Star Wars fan going into Rogue One. Really puts Krennic & Tarkin into perspective, and you know what the family have been through. Just adds to the story so much in my viewpoint.

I think it's great that they involve the Cyber Crystals too, sort of linking the Jedi into a Jedi-less story. Will be interesting what Vader has to say about them.

I bit the bullet and flex paid Vader. For some reason the shiny Vader with ANH armor has grown on me. And if I want his robes over his chest armor I can. Either way this looks like an amazing Vader figure.

I'm hype as hell for this Vader and so stoked it comes with a lightsaber blade, but how are there still no pics of this? I get spoilers and stuff, but don't people have this already in HK? The internet is failing us.

Yeah, it's weird. There are no regular in hand pics at all, so that makes me wonder if it was actually released. There were those pallet pics of all the boxes, but maybe they're being held back for some reason.

Wait, so this figure does or doesn't include a blade? I was under the impression that it doesn't according to the specs.
