Well it would be Kenobi between ROTS and ANH. His prime has already been filmed...during the prequels....

Yep, exactly my point. Not sure there's much they could do in terms of a Kenobi solo film. Though I would prefer that over a Solo film. I think introducing him in ANH in sequential order is perfectly fine and doesn't need to be messed with.

Someone else playing Solo is going to be REALLY weird. Even Indy I can sorta kinda maybe get my head around someone else playing. But without Ford, I'm really not sure what you have with Solo - something about Ford's mannerisms and sardonic nature brought a fairly one-note character to classic icon status. I worry the new actor will be trying to do a Ford impression.

What a bummer Ford wasn't mid 20's at the time of ANH (instead of mid 30's,) and that the whole Disney buyout thing didn't happen ten years earlier than it did - that way we could have had a Solo sequel film and he still would have only been early 50's and able to play classic Solo (looking much like he did in the Jack Ryan movies.) Age sucks.:lol

That would not help at all. He originally didn't want to play Solo anymore after ESB (that is where the cliffhanger with Solo in carbonite comes from) and he was in TFA just for the promise they will finally kill his character.

It will be weird, but the person playing him is a ridiculously awesome actor. Watch Hail Caesar!

My sentiments as well.

"Nope. Utterly not interested in reprising the role, wait.....you'll pay me how much?" :lol

I don't know, for me Indy would be the much harder one to recast given the character's huge presence in those movies and everything Ford did in them. Han Solo, as awesome as he was, still basically feels to me like a supporting character in the OT, and one who was never all that particularly well developed (even in the deeper ESB he's still a bit of an enigma).

It'll still be weird seeing someone else in the costume, but I think the new actor will have a lot more leeway in what he can do with the character.

So far I have no interest in the spin offs. I want Sith themed films... a movie about Vader's rise to being known as the Emperor's enforcer during the years after ROTS, or if done right a film featuring a younger Palpatine with his training and eventual betrayal of Plagueis. It'll never happen with Disney though.

For years I wanted a movie about Darth Bane, he's one of my favorite characters.

Anybody read the new Rogue One prequel novel? I'm reading it now, about half way through. It's pretty good. It jumps around a bit in timeline from near the end of the clone wars to obviously right before the movie. Tarkin and Krennic don't like each other at all. Maybe Vader does go to town on Krennic and fights some Death Troopers. Now that would be awesome and make this movie worthy of taking place before the OT!!! But I doubt it... :(

I finished it last week, the Audible version. I really enjoyed it although it was a bit slow in many places. Good set up for the movie and along with Tarkin and Krennic my favorite parts were those involving the Kyber crystals.

I'm about 2/3rds of the way through. It's aweosome to see the relationships being built before I see Rogue One. I wouldn't say it's got me more excited for the movie, but I'm definitely more interested to see what happens with these characters.

Is Vader out in HK yet?

I don't think anyone's sure. There were pictures of the shipping boxes arriving and a few plasticenemies pics leaked out but there seems to be some hold up. No word from anyone who has it in hand.

Ah OK. I've fully paid for mine and was wondering if he was out yet. So strange how they have put him on hold. Hope he's released soon!

There were those from plasticenemies. They don't work for hot toys as far as we know so I have no idea how they would have gotten it, if it weren't released. It's a very confusing situation. The language barrier can be really frustrating at time like this. Hard to just message someone and get a reply.
