I think it's a great representation of Vader. The cape has a good weight to it and a nice shine to the helmet and armour too.

The buttons/slots are actually too small making the chest box appear bigger and the color of the ANH shoulder bells are the correct color for that version..

The screen suit is what i'm comparing it to and there's a lot that's off and not correct..


No for me the button/slots look smaller on the R1 version..

Here's a comp of the ANH and RO boxes:

It's weird how they even went so far as to match the scratches on the grey switches yet the coin slots are different and noticeably differently spaced.

So many things are off just like the ANH version..eyes too big,horrible nose plug again!,neck too long,chest box and belt/buckle all kinds of wrong. The gloves and better fitting suit are it's saving grace and oddly enough the cod piece is actually accurate

Yeah, while it looks better in a quick overall glance, it's just not a huge improvement over the ANH version. The "shine" of the RO helmet sets it off more and makes it seem more "Vader-esque" even if its not accurate for ANH.

But they must've added a reddish tint because they definitely pop out more

The reddish tint is on the ANH mask, they've just added something silver behind it to make it visible this time.

Well, based on pictures I've seen, it looks like parts from the ANH Vader and parts from the R1 Vader will combine to make one really nice looking Vader figure from either R1 or ANH.

Just as HT designed it to be.

Wow, the height difference is a little jarring. I wonder if the eventual ESB Vader will be closer to R1's height or ANH's. Overall this figure looks pretty good, easy pick up for someone who just wants a Vader and isn't going to obsess about the inaccuracies.

I'd love to see a line-up of the the SSC Vaders and the two HT Vaders. The too-tall thing just seems to dog Vader in 1/6. Just like the consistently too-small R2's, you have to wonder if it's some kind of a LFL mandate.

The SSC ANH Vader was nearly an inch too tall. I wonder with this RO Vader being even taller than the already too-tall HT ANH Version, if HT RO and SSC ANH are the same height. I guess some pics of this guy beside a HT stormie will give a hint.

To get a good idea how good or bad this figure is i'll just wait till dust settle on and everybody will take a second look on this figure with a cool head.

Yeah, that video is one of the best close-up views of a figure I've ever seen.

Interesting that HT painted both outer sides of the triangle silver/gunmetal - on all other OT Vaders (and on HT ANH,) one side is black and the other gunmetal. Maybe there are some paint differences between the RO Vader helmet and OT Vaders.

Maybe other Vaders have better specific parts whatsoever... but this one looks great as a whole.

That new helmet could pass as your ESB helmet for sure. I am keeping the ANH helmet to put on the SS Vader...rather the new one but I'm not going to get another good deal on a HT helmet.

Very nice Bugz. Want this figure but not sure I need 2 almost identical Vaders on display. I need Yoda or TFA Han to release immediately so I don't spend $250 on Vader because he happens to be the figure that's available.

You should get him. It's a much better figure than the previous ANH Vader.

yeah he looks great. I might just parts grab to make the ultimate vader. I`m sure a lot of us probable will just grab some parts to improve the ANH version
