A shame the new suit has that same lame 'bend' in the material at the elbow. My eyes cannot unsee it.

Posing like that might stretch the pleather in time, and make it deteriorate.

You won't. It's a really good figure. I think it looks better than ANH. A bit more tidier and clean looking than HT 1st attempt.

Haha yeah I'm fully aware it's risky business [emoji23] but I've done it a few times and not been disappointed yet. I really think this version is an improvement for me personally anyway. The proportions and paint apps look brilliant. And the gloves!!! And the light up saber was a pain in the arse for me. So I'm not bothered not having it included [emoji16]

I think it looks better than ANH. A bit more tidier and clean looking than HT 1st attempt.

And therein lies the difference in taste, I suspect. As my definitive Vader is ANH Vader, I need him to be less 'tidy' and less 'clean looking'. To some, the pop of a shiny Vader is a definitive element of the character, and to be fair that's how he's appeared onscreen in the majority of the saga. But my Vader is the ANH 1970s Vader, whose quirks reflect the budget and style of Star Wars to the exclusion of what came after. The majestic, shadowy wraith of The Empire Strikes Back is beautiful, but my personal Vader is the somewhat unwieldy bobble-head who was equally at home choking rebel commanders onscreen as he was prowling dance floors offscreen in 1977/1978 - amidst flares, fringed leather jackets and a triple play of 'Macho Man', 'You Make Me Feel Like Dancing' and 'Night Fever'.
