The Emperor is the real villain...the real boss, but Vader looks cooler, therefore people like to think he's the "man." :lol

Re: Hot Toys - STAR WARS 1/6th & 1/4th Figures from Episode I-VII + New Interviews

What!?

He wanted to go out a fly with the grunts. He even had his own special TIE. He was smart again -- get off that damn thing before it blows.

In Empire he got shined up, lazy -- eating in his chamber, choking officers for silly offenses -- only when he got active and personal in Cloud City did he get cool again. Even though he had a sit-down dinner with Han and the gang.

Ever wonder what they talked about?

But if he was real smart, he wouldn't have gotten pwned by Han.

Darth Vader drinks coffee, your argument is invalid.

Ah, but that's where his genius comes in. In the "Unwritten Pages" by George Lucas, Vader's scheme included luring Han Solo to the exhaust port at just the right moment so that he could get rid of the old scroat Tarkin. And it worked.

Re: Hot Toys - STAR WARS 1/6th & 1/4th Figures from Episode I-VII + New Interviews

Wait, are you saying that HT is going to make a TIE fighter pilot when Sideshow hasn't even preordered that figure yet?

Hmm. Good point. I was trying to think of a stormi variant besides the sandies, and I guess I went with the TIE pilot because Medi made them too.

But of course!

Hahaha. Just preordered Han and Chewie (separately). Oh man, said I wouldn't but caved.
I would buy a Luke and wish I could get the Bespin version for a good price.
But it will just be Han, Chewie, Luke, Vader and Fett for me from Star Wars I swear....
Annd maybe a Ewan McGregor Obi Wan.

Han, Luke, Vader, Fett and a Stormtrooper. For now.

Yeah I'm trying to be a minimalist collector. But it's hard. And I have a sweet tooth for Star Wars.
I think I'm going to completely pass over some other stuff (Eg Avengers, Batman Returns) to save for Star Wars. I plan to commit one detolf specifically for Star Wars only....I only have like 5 spots left to fill it up. The Han and Chewie was too too iconic for me to pass on. Seeing them just reminded of the joy of watching Star Wars movies.
Just wish I could get that Bespin Luke.

Now I'm thinking, if a Keaton Bruce Wayne head is ultimately included with the Batman Returns figure, I wonder how bad they'll **** it up.

Hey, maybe it'll look like Harrison Ford! :lol

Re: Hot Toys - STAR WARS 1/6th & 1/4th Figures from Episode I-VII + New Interviews

Would any of you guys want to buy the second figure of Luke and off me if I get the DX07 off ebay?

I promise you.... Once you get that set you will want both! I have the Battle Damaged Luke hanging off the ceiling on the weathervane, and the clean one inside a detolf. It's such an amazing set.

Well, Keaton does have a unique face, so there's no way they'll...whoops, never mind.

It really is an awesome set. Now that Hot Toys is starting to release more Star Wars figures I'm glad I found him when I did and for a decent price even with the Sideshow exclusive.

Its not like Hot Toys has such poor track record that they shouldn't be trusted despite what certain people like to believe. I'm always of the opinion nothing is perfect but all in all I think Hot Toys usually does a good job with their releases. I agree that the Ford sculpt on the new Han figure has room for improvement but it seems like by and large the final products turn out good.

I know but it is sooo expensive now and I really only want the one.
I very willing to do this.
