Re: Hot Toys Stormtrooper.

Just bringing it back on topic....with the proper Wonder Bread card

That was just failed sarcasm. I hope we get that super tall one on the right side by the TIE. Probably on the imperial basketball squad.

Edit: also that SE addition is terrible. The empire already looks incompetent enough during this sequence.

The sarcasm was good. Keep it up.

Glad you saved me the trouble of writing the same thing. :hi5:

Since when all storm troopers are the same height?

Ugh, that scene :slap, it made no sense. Why were the troopers along with the officers on the porch all assembled in one area ? It looks like they were in formation ready to receive the Emperor or some some high dignitary. Really?? During an alert that there are intruders on the Death Star running around freeing prisoners , instead of searching for them they are all in the hangar? And my other gripe is it's the same 5-6 Stormtroopers copied and pasted over and over!

Maybe they were about to be deployed to look for the intruders?

Also, Lucas probably felt it needed explaining why our heroes went from chasing the troopers to beating a hasty retreat. In the comic adaptation it was explained that the troopers had thought they were outnumbered till they reached a dead end and turned around.

They could have added a few extra troopers, but adding few extra hundred was totally unnecessary - and adds another hole in the story.

Yeah that's in the SE "entering Mos Eisley" scene too - two troopers standing beside the road opposite a mirror image of the same 2 troopers.:slap

Some of the CGI stuff in the SE is so cheap looking - why does Chewy look pretty much the same from SW to Jedi yet Jabba is supposed to go from that bizarrely bad CGI thing to the full size puppet we all know in ROTJ. For the Blu's, hey add eyelids to Wicket yet they still can't make the CGI Jabba look even remotely like Jabba?:lol

The Jabba on the left is the one true Jabba. It didn't shatter our image of the notorious space gangster on the right whatsoever. Not one bit. :lecture

I cannot even imagine how much money it cost to hire someone to digitally remove Darth Vader's eyebrows. And for what purpose??

Lets face it... the special editions are aweful and do nothing but make glaring changes that stick out like sore thumbs. Changing out Fett's voice is one of the worst things Lucas could have ever done.

Putting Hayden Christensen in at end of Jedi has my vote for worst thing Lucas did. I still can not unsee that image. My jaw dropped and said wtf and nooooooooooooooooo! I watched the SE's when they came out on DVD the first time and have not watched SE Jedi or ANH since. Empire was not too bad. I am a kid of the 70's and 80's and saw the OT in theaters when they came out. At least I have the memories.

I have the se but it is the 97 versions. I hate the 04 versions of them specially rotj and esb. the dubbing of boba fetts voice for the actor that played jango fett and the huge emperor floating head.no thanks

I still just watch the originals. They came as bonus discs or something in one of the DVD sets. Normally I try to watch HD of anything else if it exists. Bring on the unaltered blu rays!!
