That sucks. Very expensive figure - I don't think we should have to accept that.

:lecture i can understand it on those figures but not on something like this at this price! Hell i've spent over $1000 on two of these and both are pretty bad, at least to my standards. I am OCD by the way.

This is the first figure I've actually worn gloves with so he has no scratches from me. But the chest armor on this and the DX 12 is just like that. Somebody looked at it the wrong way in the factory and bingo it was scratched.

It's more like a thin rub than a scratch though. Only noticeable with the right light at the right angle. Of the things that bother me about the figure, that's not one.

Honestly, I remember the first time you posted pictures of your figure's "issues" it took me a while to see what you were talking about.
All the figures probably have the same "problem", what your picture showed isn't a problem for me, to each its own.

The only thing that really bugs me about this figure is the independent eye movement. It'll really annoy me if they're not aligned properly.

Strongly learning towards selling him.

Other than a slight improvement in cowl shape, I prefer my modded DX12.

The abdomin on this is almost a deal breaker. I know what's causing the problem, now that I have it in-hand, and it would be pretty easy to fix. But it would require removing the suit (or at least cutting an access hole), and that's unacceptable for a figure of this price.

My other big complaint is the shoulder pads. They are enormous, and no amount or heating and reshaping will make them look in scale with his undersized head.

Yep, all known issues. Lucky for me, I only paid $65 for the figure in the end....- $75 for SS store credit for Batmobile scratches & - $300 for selling the EX cowl, CB head & Sonar head with backpack...so I can live with them. But for those who paid full price, I agree, for the $$$ paid for the figure it should be darn near perfect. 4 tries & HT has yet to deliver on the quintesstential Nolan Batman. EB got much closer on their one & only try.

Out of curiosity, is this your only 1/4 scale figure? How do you like the larger scale?

Oh yeah. PERS isn't perfect but it's a helluva lot easier. It's no fun holding the head upside down and using that joystick to adjust the eyes.

But the eyes themselves are really well done. The sockets may be a bit too big but they're quite lifelike actually.

Well, I finally got my Master Light House and sorry to say that but :

Low quality (but for the price, i'm ok)
Very limited display
I never see something catch the dust like that

Better to get a besta with glass & led light up. That's what i'm doing.

Ps : The best figure into it is the Endoskeleton, amazing !!!

Well, I will take an opposite opinion here. The gaps on mine are really, really small, like about 1/32 inch, and only on the backside. For the price you're not going to get an airtight, hermetically sealed case. :wink1: try pricing some custom made cases thaty are available & you'll see what I mean. It is best suited for a museum type pose, but I had no problem getting the poses I wanted. I do agree about the LEDS, I wish they had a wider throw. The cool white bothers some but not me. But again, for the price, I think they're a good value. I have them powered by a USB cable & it's nice to have them on all the time.

Man, that's too bad. I was looking forward to your impressions on the figure. So it's the fabric bunching underneath that's causing the abdomen to stick out? Maybe there's a way to make an access hole from inside the figure with the neck post pulled out?

Not exactly. I plan to do a short video explaining it...

I don't have this in hand yet. But from pics, to me. I think the shoulder pads are done alot better then the dx12. I don't have a problem with the size of them at all. But on my dx12 the pads always bothered me. Like they are too long down the arm.

Yeah, the DX12 pads are atrocious. The shape and design of these are excellent. Shame they are out of scale.

The nice thing about the DX12 pads is that there is enough play in size that they can be heated up and reshaped to look smaller (especially when you do the cut/separation mod). With the 1/4 scale figure the shoulders are pretty much right up against the pads, so very little reshaping can be done. :(

The photos don't show it.

They do.

And mind you, this is after I have attempted to make the shoulders appear smaller.

Whether you call it an over small head or overly wide shoulders (I think it's both), it's undeniable.

[Edit] Looking at this picture again, it almost seems like the space between the neck and shoulder pads is too great. Obviously nothing that could be done about that.

The white case is back in-stock and the black is up for pre-order again at BBTS. I put in an order for a black one yesterday and it got processed today.

Like I said before, i'm aware about the price. I had to make another choice that s all ;-)

I have the Enterbay Batman. Love it. But I am thinking that just one 1/4 scale figure (maybe 2 if the Keaton one looks good) is gonna be enough for me, as I prefer the look of a 1/6 collection I think.

I think all the detail on this suit is part of the problem. The ab plates in particular have a very single-hunk-of-plastic-toyish quality even in 1/6 scale, but at 1/4 scale it's really noticeable.

Honestly, my favorite part of this figure is the legs and boots. :lol

Once you straighten out the pants I'd be thrilled to stick 1/6 versions of these legs on my DX12.

And like I said, the cowl is an improvement, though still undersized.

It's almost as if they had different departments doing different sections of the figure & none of them were on the same page in terms of exact scale...the end result being a mishmash of good parts that are less than the total sum of the end result.

Or something like that.:lol

Is the EMP guy supposed to work right out of the box? Or do you need to put batteries into it?

I'm trying to find out cause I'm probably going to sell mine and need to make sure nothing is defect.

They do.

Such pictures can be misleading, the way the picture is taken and the figure futzed can produce dramatically different results.

For example here's a Jingobell picture looking closer to the poster in proportions, if the figure's neck was a bit thicker we'd be there:

Here's a picture of the real deal looking close to the picture above in proportions:

There are just too many variables for such picture comparisons.
I will grant you that the figure's head is (very) slightly undersized which could also be accentuated by the neck being a little too thin when viewed at some angles.
Hot Toys has a tendency to idealize their figures, finding a compromise between the "actor in a suit" look and a superhero transcending reality.
I think is a good thing, actors in a suit can look really awkward, it takes a lot of professionals to film them expertly so they end up looking like superheroes.
I wouldn't want a figure looking like some goofy snapshot from a movie but one that embodies the character we see and perceive throughout the film.

About the shoulder pads, I believe that if they were as close to the body as they are on the real thing there wouldn't be any possible shoulder movement.
It's part of the compromises figures have to make, I think in this instance HT did a great job.
It looks better in my opinion than what you did with the DX12 shoulder pads, it is one of the few mods I didn't think was successful making him look worse like he has droopy shoulder.
I'm not bashing your work here but I have a different take on some of the details.
It is of course all a mater of taste.
