It's almost as if they had different departments doing different sections of the figure & none of them were on the same page in terms of exact scale...the end result being a mishmash of good parts that are less than the total sum of the end result.
Or something like that.
That sounds about right.
I wouldn't want a figure looking like some goofy snapshot from a movie but one that embodies the character we see and perceive throughout the film.
Agreed %100 percent. I've made the same point many times.
I also agree with the points you made about certain pictures being misleading, however, looking at all the pictures I have seen of this figure, and now seeing it in hand, I feel very confident in saying that the shoulders are too wide. Perhaps it's not the pads themselves, but the actual circumference of his shoulders (if you were to measure them like a woman measures her bust line) is too big. I can't unsee it and it's a deal-breaker for me.
It looks better in my opinion than what you did with the DX12 shoulder pads, it is one of the few mods I didn't think was successful making him look worse like he has droopy shoulder.
I'm not bashing your work here but I have a different take on some of the details.
It is of course all a mater of taste.
Good eye.
I actually agree with you. The actual
shape of the shoulder pads on the 1/4 scale figure are perfect (as I've said before). My attempts at making the pads smaller on the DX12 have been a compromise between making them smaller and shape.
My first attempt is particularly bad:
Yikes. The above picture makes me cringe. Very droopy shoulders as you say.
I'm getting closer though. Here's what he looks like today:
They still have a bit of that "A frame" look to them, but I'm still working on it.
For once I gotta disagree with you here mag. The head looks fine.
Well, you are welcome to buy my 1/4 scale Bat if you are happy with it.
