That just goes to show we all see things differently because the differences do not look subtle to me.

We may see things differently but I'm not just relying on sight, but also my knowledge of the toy industry and manufacturing process. If you think it's different, but can't put your finger on what has been specifically resculpted, chances are it hasn't been. If you see that the sculpt has changed, please provide specifics so I can take a look and see if I can see it too.

Pretty much what I said in reply to mags question. The face looks squashed and not as narrow as the proto pic. His explanation for that is len's distortion in the pic. Look here.

Is that specific enough?

You linked me to the photo mags posted. I'd say that is quite the opposite of specific. Squashed and not narrow aren't specifics either, just a description of lens distortion. Also it is the most logical explanation, because the alternative is to believe it was resculpted to look more squashed without any reshaping of the features.

I hope so...i can't understand why they haven't it on display. One thought is that there is no change with the proto...and another that was still in production with a few changes.

They've probably knocked the Bale sculpt outta the park which is why they're holding it back for maximum effect once it's revealed.

I hope for the best with the Bale sculpt but honestly it's probably not getting used much by me. Just waiting on my last flex to get bumped again...

Whatever, I personally don't think it is len's distortion, but if u want to believe that then fine. The sculpt might be exactly the same as the proto pic but that doesn't change the fact that what they gave us looks vastly different to some people no matter what the reason is, they might of photoshopped the promo pics:dunno. It is like they purposely deceived us, except you and all the other people who actually like the sculpt and can not see any differences at all.

Whether you want to admit it or not there are plenty of people that think it looks no were near the same hence why they trolled the Hot Toys face book page, saying why did Hot Toys change it is was perfect to begin with?

I agree with what the Joker said it is one of the most ugliest sculpts Hot Toys has ever produced. :yuck

Me too, i might do the Hong Kong scene from time to time considering i have the DX12 and cannot

I hope it's easier to get on than the DX12 Bale head too

Regarding the Bale sculpt for this figure, I hope it's been changed. If it turns out awesome, I'll have it displayed from time to time. Of course, the go-to pose will be masked.

Purposely deceived? No, but they did use a cheaper plastic on a few figures that didn't pay off. The DX10 was hurt by this too.

I really don't care how many people complained about HT changing the sculpt. I've seen many irrational, emotional responses simply due to different lighting on the same figure here, let alone the responses to final product versus prototype. I can explain the toy creation process step by step and still get a response along the lines of, "Yeah, well I don't think that's what it is."

I'm guessing you don't own it? Mine looks perfect, I'm looking at it now, very, very close to the prototype. Every HT figure has a slight drop off from Proto to final product, but nothing to b**** and whine about.:dunno

I own two, the head sculpt sucks IMO, other people on here that own it have said the same thing, unless that claim to own it on here are lieing and they actually don't own it. If you are happy with it then that is fine. The sculpt looks really off to me and hence I would never display it on any of the two figures I own.

I think it's time we all agreed to disagree. It's going no where and someone will eventually start throwing out insults.

Lets stay cool fellas.

Finally some common sense, I am not trying to persuade others as I was not even the person to bring it up to begin with but people kept attacking other people that did bring it up so I felt I had to chime in, to defend them whist telling the original poster to not try and talk about it otherwise it will cause arguments. I just see where the other people are coming from that are complaining about it is all, because like them I hate it to.

However, on here if your view differs from the majority then you must be wrong and persuaded to think the way everyone else does.
