Looks like there are decals on this? I would think that it's more likely it is featured in a movie, right? Repaints is one thing, but that seems like more design that I can't imagine Hot Toys has license to do.

No, if it was going to be in AoU it would have the AoU brand tag. It does not, it's branded under the first Avengers.

It's not featured in any of the movies or media. They made up this specific paint job. It's nothing Hot Toys has not done before with Iron Man.

I wonder if it's based on a production design or something. If they are letting Hot Toys have some design input on Iron Man suits, that could be very bad (and expensive) news for all of us that buy them. [emoji50]

It's based on the production design of Mark VII, but with stealth colors... Don't look too deep, it's just a paint variant... As Hologram AI said above, HT has made non-movie variant armors before.
This is nothing new people. It's an exclusive and like the ones before it, they have taken some creative license with it.

Time to pick up something like this: Amazon.com: Tinted Plastic Reading Sheets, Set of 5: Health & Personal Care for an easy custom.
Someone earlier suggested red cellophane, but I don't think that is dark enough to show a deep red, it would likely be pink.

This is going to sell out SO fast...
On sideshow probably... If they plan to have this available for order at all of the AoU expo events, they will either have to make a **** load or limit the amount of orders per event. That's going to disappoint a lot of people.

The Red LED really works with the suit. Given this is not even a movie piece, it's a real shame no one at HT thought to try red LED's.
