Hot toys Wolverine preview pic

He's smoking a cigar when he's with his logging buddies. No cigar, no sale. Well they need to resculpt it to resemble Jackman to ensure better sales. It has similar features but what's their story this time? No reference material or are they being fashionably late with the haven't obtained the rights spin? If they have the rights they need to get it right and with Hot Toys you know it aint the paint apps that are the problem.

I still have the useless cigar from the Terminator 2 Arnie figure.
Hot Toys were going to have Dutch smoke a cigar but then they changed there minds and just had him hold one instead.
I personally would only have him with the blades out. Maybe Hot Toys thinks that's what most people will do and left the cigar out.

Also I think the Comic Con figure is an older production figure, as the Tokyo show was only a week before

I think that is the angle that does look the best, as a comparison to Jackman, but the other pics just have similarities to Jackmans features.

We can only keep repeating the same arguments for any figure these days. It seems to me that proto pics are rarely on the mark, and once they're out, they decide whether or not it's worth changing. They still haven't put up anything official, in the way of pics, on Hot Toys site, so we'll have to wait and see what's what.

Likeness still seems a bit weak, but overall is looking good. I didn't read through the pages from the con, anyone have a clear shot of the picture they had on display of the body? Looks like Wolverine and The Comedian might be using the same design.

Maybe we'll see another version of Wolverine at Ani Con this week? It may be too much to ask for more XMO or Marvel information too

I think there was discussion that Comedian and Wolvie had the same body type. I agree they look similar.

I am hoping more information comes soon.

I think they are two different body types wolverine you really cant see the shoulder joints but with the comedian you can and they're very pronounced compared to old wolvie

I am not 100% sold they are different body types. I agree the Comedian picture shows a more distinct shoulder joint than Wolverine. However, I can see shoulder joints in the Wolverine pic that is covered which distorts the image. I definately can see the "hair" on the forearms and hands of Wolverine.

The final con is this weekend, I hope more information is released. Either way same or different body types both figures will be awesome.

The veining on the arms is different too. They may be the same design but different surfaces.

It would be nice but not realistic. Tying their release down to an exact date leaves them exposed to bad things if they miss a deadline.

It sucks relying on release quarters but from a business aspect I understand it.

Agreed. I am not a Watchmen fan but I may need to invest in the line if the others look like the Comedian.

Thanks for posting that MF, good looking design... looks like the elbow will be similar to a ball joint. So not as poseable as the True Type, but definitely better than the muscle bodies.
