No cigar, no sale. Well they need to resculpt it to resemble Jackman to ensure better sales. It has similar features but what's their story this time? No reference material or are they being fashionably late with the haven't obtained the rights spin? If they have the rights they need to get it right and with Hot Toys you know it aint the paint apps that are the problem.
Whatever!

If it comes out looking just like this, i'll be perfectly happy as will most people. (and 99.9% of people will buy him cigar or not. But yes, i'd love to have one)

I can't wait to have this figure, I love how badass he looks, and I like how it seems the blades will be done in a way for them to be made out of something with a good metallic shine and added to the hands after, should look awesome.

Aluminum would be a good choice for the claws actualy.

So would nickle.

I am really excited for this one. I am with Kayt, they could ship this as is with no changes and I would be very happy. That said, a cigar would be cool.

Saw this in person at SDCC. Looked fantastic to me as is. So any improvements would just be fantastic. Still not sure about the price tag though. Still seemed a bit steep to me. But its the only great 1:6 Wolverine available, so I guess they can get away with it.

I don't care about the cigar as much as his mouth. That's where it doesn't look like Jackman. Sure this looks like Wolverine, but it doesn't look like Jackman's Wolverine. I hope they do tweek the sculpt more.

So...does anyone know which version is the final (or most recent) sculpt?

I think that, aside from the first teaser pic, the sculpt seen throughout Tokyo Toy Show and SDCC is the most recent. There's no "final" sculpt until we see in-hand pics, which isn't uncommon with HT.

Well, since no official product photography has been done yet, which HT has never not provided, I think whatever we see in those photos will be pretty much the final product we're getting.

Pretty much. Except they're still tweaking it a bit they've said, but no worries here that's for sure.

Precisely, I mean whatever is shown when they release official photos will be the tweaked figure and probably minimal if any tweaks after that.

yea actual dates:rolleyes:

These manufacturer's can't commit to a specific date, it would mean either cutting short quality to meet the deadline or being late all the time and pissing people off.

They target a quarter of the year because a 3 month window allows them time to be delayed for some reason and still be on time as far as collector expectation.

People gett pissed enough if the first month of the target quarter passes and no sign of the figure, if they said something like July 1st and it ended up shipping in September, people would go nuts. If they say Q3, then anywhere in between July and September is on time and while people may lose patience, they don't get too upset because it's not late yet.

As long as they make a great figure, they can take as long as they need to. Anticipation is half the fun!
