How do you feel about Hot Toys doing second runs of Vader, Chewie, Han and Obi-Wan?

For anyone whose waitlist hasn't converted yet, or who don't want to wait, I saw a Han Solo tonight on eBay listed for $259 from HK with free shipping.

Thanks for that - it's actually a great read! It's also confirmed for me that I was right to strip the weathering off my sand trooper as most of the stormtroopers in the movie (including the ones pictured on the old Kenner card image) are actually 'stunt' stormtroopers. It feels pretty cool to know I have both kinds.

The plates on the left knee are different on Sandtroopers and stunt stormies though so there is still that.

But I have a few Marmit stormies that have the Sandtrooper sniper plate and I like them as much as any other Marmit or HT trooper even though they're not 100% movie accurate.

There was a Kenobi that had free international shipping at a lower price than Sideshow list yesterday as well. I had just gotten the confirmation e-mal and notice that the NRD was drawn on my card minutes earlier. Might be a bit of old stock being unloaded for cheap now that fortunes have turned. :wink1:

Quite possible.

I looked out of curiosity just to see what scalpers were selling them for now, being that HT is going to be shipping out a second run. The majority of them were still in the $350-$400 range, but I saw that one for $259.

I would but:

This might be the first ebay sale where I'm not upset that the seller only ships to the US. :lol

lol Seriously, that auction has had a TON of hits and Ive received many messages. Most cool..some ...not so friendly!:dunno

:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:yess: I'll bet some were less than polite.....but I think it's pretty flippin' funny :D

Consider it a lesson learned. Personally, you were obviously willing to pay a premium to get it because you wanted it, don't let it impact on your enjoyment of the figure.

Exactly.

The value of something is how much it's worth to a potential buyer (you).

I think is it good for the market. I don't buy figures for reselling them. I'm glad everyone can own them. This hobby has gone out of hand. Ebay used to be the place to pick up something you missed for a good price. Nowadays you first have to sign that they will come to cut out your kidneys

It's happened to me before. While I agree to a degree, there's an aftertaste (that is not so good) when looking at said figure. You'll always be reminded that you could've gotten it for less.

Yeah, live and learn.

It's a win win. U get what u want within (hopefully) ur budget. Knowing u could save a dollar here or there.. That's what cosco for. I have more regrets about figures I payed market price for than the one I payed after market price for. It's only that it all happened so fast with them being sold out, price jacked then reissued. Your kind of left with a "wait what the h311 just happened?!" prison feel.

It is a win-win. Like Mr. Walker said, you get what you wanted for the price you were willing to pay for it.

And now I'm going to have three chewies because my Han, chewie and the lone chewie I tried to cancel were processed. Maybe I'll spray fake snow on one and make him hoth chewie.

lol, we keep both threads TTT though.
The Sideshow and Medicom Han's must be worth a mint now!

So will this change anyone preorder ideas? Normally I pre order because I believe a figure might sell out.....if i didn't have that worry I would always wait for in hand pics....
