It sleeted & rained here this morning. It was kind of snowing when I walked into work

They delayed school here then went ahead and cancelled it. Too windy and slippery for the buses. The majority of our kids are bussed.

It's just cold and misty right now. The wind has died down pretty much. We might have freezing rain overnight but I'm not sure about snow.

West Virginia is getting that stuff! :horror

My hometown on SI (Tottenville) was decimated. Miraculously my Mom and her house are safe and sound. Thank you, thank you, thank you God!

Best to everyone suffering through the effected areas!!!

lol sorry your post reminded me of this I saw today.

lol :lol...

So much destruction in my neighborhod. There were downed powerlines all over, and I stepped over a few outside my apartment. Not sure if it was the wisest decision to do that... but it was a bit nerve wracking to say the least.

Haven't seen anything like this in all my years living in NYC.

Just got word of what will be the most lasting effect on me(superficial or not), Krypton Comics of Staten Island was completely destroyed and will be closing its doors after 21 years.....a store I have been to every week since I was 5 when Artie opened(I went opening day--it's first location was across the street from me), a place I shared comic collecting with my father, a store with only one employee/owner who I know better than some family, the place I started buying sideshow through(and got good deals too), a place I filmed scenes in multiple films I've worked on in(I'm happy I was able to do that as it in a way immortalized it)....it's so weird but I honesty can't imagine not going to Krypton again.

No idea, owner sent out an email about it but didn't mention that.

just got power after 3 days without...woooo hooo...no statue damage. But its still a mess outside. Lines for gas are insane. I seen two ppl today about to fist fight after 1 car cut the line.

so their things are destroyed? I can't imagine a sideshow figure showing up in some gutter somewhere... :monkey2
