Check out OMG's incredible pictorial in the Reviews section. There's a pic in there showing the two Mark IIs and the Mark III side-by-side.
Thank you. I saw that comparison. I would like to see both under natural lighting.

Clipperking! Man, another great entertaining review - yer so GD thorough it's kinda spooky! Imperfect paint aps on one of the helmets?? I'm gonna go fookin' mental! :panic: :lol Seriously, I had been a bit lukewarm to this figure prior to some of the pics on this thread an your review - figured I'd pass on it and wait for a slightly retooled/repainted version of it as a new Mark III, but now I'm really excited to get one! The main problem is I have absolutely no idea how I'm gonna display it, there's almost too many options: spread out on the autopsy table, Hall of Armor, Afghanistan battle, Cheadle thieving the suit (likely not this option), or with a Stark head...hmmm:dunno

Oh, to answer a question you had, the mech test boots seem to be identical to the ones from the mech test release; they do have those latches on the side that allow them to open up, the idea being that you could take them off Stark's legs, take the rest of the mech gear off his arms, chest and waist, slip on the extra pair of shoes that came with the figure, and you could have Tony in his "futzing around the lab" look, which would work really well with the Mark II exclusive pack-in of the holographic repulsor unit that can fit on Tony's forearm. That mech-test figure really is fantastic, would recommend that anyone pick one up if it can be had at a decent price!

So, a great, informative review, man - keep up the good work! :clap

Can anyone tell me if the neck moves? The MK 5 neck swivels and pivots for a better heads up position on a horizontal flying pose. Can this do the same since the neck swaps out?

Fantastic review as ever clipperking :hi5:

Particularly like the pose in part 1 using the Tony Stark sculpt. If I had a spare I think I'd pose mine like that as well but alas I like my Tony Stark sculpt on my Mark IV. Might try and do the same but with using one of the other Mark II heads, might look a bit naff though him being fully helmeted up and carrying another exact same helmet :lol

Clipperking, I dig your commentary but for the love of GOD- get yerself a fookin' tripod mate!

Informative as ever, thanks for making and sharing :)

My mark ii is in customs now. I hope I will have him by the end of this week:pray:. I will def post many many pics and hopefully bring this thread back to life.

Why would it? Hot Toys don't really sell out anymore.

Look at Superman and DX jack, both tied for FOTY, both still in-stock.

isnt thata good things, some people can get 2 or their first one when they can afford. i think hot toys have studied their market well and know that their products will sell out eventually..
