My first version still looks pretty good. I was also hoping they would address the goofy rubber parts on the arms, by I guess I'll pass unless I win the lotto.

- I hope a revised MK I is in the works.

I'm happy to see this since I missed out on the first version. Just one thing I don't like about the second version is it's missing all it's rivets. I guess it makes more sense to not have them so you can display it all pulled apart on the table, but I'd prefer to actually have them to display it assembled.

I'm still buying, hopefully HT will give you a bag of rivets so you can display it assembled or disassembled.

this isnt a rerelease, its the equivilent of a battle damaged version, like the mark 3. some will still want the older mark 2, because they are completists. thats just the way things go. the dx batman came out very soon after the dark knight batman, at least now alot of tie has passed, and technically its from another movie.

its not missing rivets....they are there, they are just indented as opposed to outdented. this is more accurate to the movie.

Right, just cast all of those pieces in clear plastic. And use thin white fabric for the cloth bits. :dunno

Predator Cloaking will not be well represented by a transparent medium with a different refraction index than air that will be visible. By right there should be nothing observed.

The Gauntlet on the other hand is meant to be visible.

These aren't stock certificates...they are toys.

You mean these.

yah i know what you mean. If they actually re-released all the predators that would be hilarious (in a bad way of course)...but seriously what the ____ is this? This goes against all the stuff we believed about them. We knew they were out for money, yes, but most people were trying to believe that Hot Toys wouldn't blatently pull something like this. Again...might be wrong, I know they re-released newer versions of older releases (jack sparrow, batman, joker, etc.) I'm not too familiar with those to say if those were justified or not though (i.e.: new design for new movie = justified).

Edit: ok I saw some other posts about this not being a re-relase and is really battle-damaged version. I guess that qualifies as justification...just the timing is kind of late ...like Predator Cleaner kit Wolf and BD IM3 came out pretty soon after their first iterations right?

Looking at the few images of the MKII suit I can find (everything comes up Hot toys in Google) they are more flush with the surface in the movie, but the new version looks like they've all been removed. I'll have to look at the Hi-res to get a better look. It could be just the light.

If you enjoy it then it shouldn't matter if the price drops or goes through the roof. These aren't stock certificates...they are toys.

Well up until now they were LIMITED COLLECTIBLES that increased in VALUE.

OMG says this is the same price as the Sparrow. That is just a little crazy. Im not sure its awesome enough for that.

I didnt get the Mrk II original so I want this one but I don't know if I need it enough to pay that price. Sweeney yes. Sparrow yes. Those are brilliant figures but I don't think this one is good enough.

I agree. I lime the figure but a high Sparrow price tag will drop my interest. IMO not on the same scale

nope, in the movie they are indented. the first mark where they looked like screw heads, outdented, was innacurate.

Love the new improvements. The bigger legs and chest definitely help. And I love the empty helmet! But I especially love the new finish--it's much closer to the movie.

However I'm perfectly happy with the original version I have, so it's a pass for me.

I can sell the extra mint-in-box Mark I for $1500 if I so desire, and it will sell. Let's call 'em "toy certificates".

If you enjoy the items you purchase you shouldn't worry about what they are going to be worth. Life is too short for that. If you like it, buy it. But don't buy it 'cause you think in 40 years time it's going to be worth thousands of dollars.

And I might be in the minority here, but if I had the original Mark II, I'd be happy that they are making a new one since it seems that so many buyers missed out on the first run. I'd rather see more people happy since they'd be able to get one compared to paying 600 bucks on ebay from some flipper.
