I think likewise though, if Hot Toys didn't want to revisit something themselves they wouldn't do it regardless of sales.

For all those saying that Hot Toys is milking Iron Man; I will say this.

If I spent 10's of thousands of dollars to get a license, 10's of thousands in R&D, 10's of thousands in production, & 10's of thousands in staff dollars, insurance or whatever other expense; you better damn well believe I'm going to try & my money back & then some to keep the lights on in the building.

Yeah but there have been 6 figures from Iron Man 2 and now this compared to 2 from Tron Legacy, so yeah i want a few more Tron Legacy Figures before revisits of past figures.

Also, regarding the Holographic Forearm Gauntlet Exclusive, I guess I'll just wait for a cheap version to appear on ebay. Remenber how much those crushed helmets exclusive were selling for? Well...

Yeah but the IM franchise is probably bigger than the Tron franchise...it's got a broader fan base = more sales!

We all have wants, I want more Tron Legacy offerings, I want the rest of the Watchmen, I want a Xerxes to go with Leonidas, I want a HT Gemma Atherton from Prince of Persia.

The thing is our wants and what makes business sense to HT in terms of sales is another thing. If Sam and Flynn were "flying off shelves" in terms of Pre-Orders I don't doubt that they'd have made every conceivable figure from that license.

Yeah I really want more Tron Legacy stuff but I don't think the two releases already up for order have sold that well so we may not see any more. Hot Toys may want to do certain projects but if they can't make money they can't do them.

It's real nice but I'm a bit let down by the color. I wish it was more chromed, like in the movie (and like the custom repaint by Greg, which I cannot find a picture of)

The Plastic Enemies pics look much shinier than the softly lit Hot Toys promo pics.

… but then again so does the original Mark II. Largely though it comes down to lighting. The original Mark II even looks pretty drastically different depending on lighting.

Yep, Tron can't even hold a candle to the Iron man franchise at this point, and I like Tron.

Exactly. And Vice Versa with figures that aren't big ticket items-- Mars Attacks figures?? They're amazing looking figures, but who the he'll was pushing for those to get made?? Hot Toys pretty much makes whatever makes them happy, and if they can make a ton of money too then that's a plus.
