It still doesn't look like a man can really fit in this armor. Unless a dude has a waistline like Megan Fox. The engineering on this is too similar to the Mk. II/III, and nothing like the IV or VI. The abdomen area where the legs connect to the hips looks bad.

I thought the same but the abdomen is very thin on the Mark III. The real suit is spandex for the abdomen with very very thin plates over it. I think the torso is a little compressed here so the abdomen is shorter than it actually appears on film but you can see just how thin the abdomen area is. It's not as thin as the original Mark II or III for sure but this new one looks pretty damn close.

This is the actual on-screen suit and the CGI suit is even thinner.

HT will have to shorten the neck and fix those broad shoulders. Also make the paint more chrome like. The helmet shape looks funny, hope that will be improved. I think this isn't too much to ask for as it's their second attempt on the mark II already. I have the original and plan to keep it unless HT improves on those points. Sure, people will still buy this figure, most of them would be those who missed out on the original. But given their asking price for this, more work needs to be done to justify it.

The paint ain't never going to look like that. I've never seen production paint on anything that has that plated metallic look. I'd love to see HT prove me wrong but I don't see it happening.

The biggest easilly fixable problem I think though still remains the shoulders which HT actually made even bigger on the new Mark II (as you can see in the Milk comparisons) which the original shoulders where already too big. I don't know what they where thinking. It's not even so much that they're too wide, they're just too big overall.

^I believe HT's response/saying in the Milk article was the we should not Nick-pick on the new Mk.2 and spend more time with our families.

That's a ridiculous statement by HT. We as collectors are paying good money for it. It's an expensive hobby without doubt, but I don't see anything wrong with constructive criticism?

Hot Toys really said that? Maybe we should start canceling orders and "spend more time with our families". I'm sure they'll love that.

Right. Shoulders have that bulbous appearance and it really wasn't like that at all.

I have all the same gripes about this figure.
There's still a chance HT could make good on this release.

We'll have to wait and see.

I'm getting this figure either way. I'm one of those who missed out on the first Mk.II.
I may even get two of these just to make up for it. :D

It does look a lot shinier in some of the other non-official photos. Still not that plated metal look but looks about as close as I could hope.

There's loads of minor errors now looking at it such as the clavicle area for one but if it looks right proportionally I'm good.

Theres actually nothing special about the Mark II really, I have the Original Mark II, I think people are hyping about it because its a 'prototype' of the ironman thus its a MUST GET. I don't see anything special about it, Mark I is the one that is THE MUST GET.

Yeah, but unless they make some new special version, I'm not payimg what you have to in order to get one now.:(

I've just sold the Original Mark II, doubt I'm getting the Mark II unleashed, nothing special, I won't be displaying him with all the parts taken out anyway. Is this reusing the Mark III BD sculpt? sure looks like that in one of the pictures?

Just to ensure I wasn't crazy about the pauldrons on the new Mark II being larger I took the shoulders from the old Mark II and stuck them on the new.
