If you sold the Mark I, this won't come close to making up for it. Out of all the Iron Man's, this is the only one you'll have?

I also got one but at $248.50, I'm not sure if I really want it.

I got it but will trade it for Hot Toys Godfather if anyone is interested. I think it looks a lot cooler than the Gunmetal Mark III.

Do you guys think that the same paint is applied on this figure as on the war machine? The paint job on the war war machine made it look kinda cheap.

I think it's not totally fair to compare this sell out with Hot Toys' Superman figure. For their non-exclusive figures (like Superman), they base their production quantity on the number of preorders.

For a convention exclusive such as this, they have to just pick a number to make and stick with it, which of course, will be much smaller than for a regular release. Since numbers are fixed before the preorder even goes up for an exclusive, it is not surprising that it would sell out quickly.

Didn't someone figure it out last year that the Gort was 500 per con?

Got one today. Wife was sitting at home for me but site froze up for 10 minutes, figured I was screwed cause she had to leave for work. Got on my phone browser and started reloading the page over and over...got through and placed an order. Can't believe I got through on my phone browser after 15 minutes and people were having problems at much faster PC's.

No one could order for the first 15 minutes or so. Sideshow had to fix it.

I'm glad I managed to get one. At least now I won't have to worry about having to line up early at AniCom HK this year. Only to find out they started selling them one hour prior to the general opening time, to all the convention workers inside.

Heh. Sold one of my two not two hours after I posted it on eBay. Now I could use the money to either pay for and keep the other essentially getting the figure for free or I could sell it. Hmm.

So you sold him for close to $500 then?

I'm gonna flip mine like a burger! :yess:

It was crazy trying to get through to order, I was on my phone and a friends laptop, logged in on both watching the clock tick and then the pages wouldn't load on the refresh.

Then the page finally loaded, I ordered but the blue submit order button wasn't there, just the edit order button. kept refreshing and finally it was there, and right when I pushed it is when the streamlined site came up so I wasn't sure if the order went through.

I had been trying to get the manage order page up on the phone as I hit the order button and was relieved to it it loaded and YES there it was on my list of stuff.

That was an annoying process to go through. Is it always that bad on stuff like this? If it is why don't they go with the streamlined site from the start?

I agree, it does look cheap and plasticky. Hope this one looks better.

I'm opposed to flipping if I miss out on a piece I'm looking for. But I'm in favor of flipping if I get a piece I don't want that's worth something! :lol

I ordered it within the first 7 minutes.

I'm going by what Sideshow said on their Facebook page and also what Tom said.

Just checked, my order went through in 17 minutes but I know that the clock was later than that when I was trying to check out.
