What's with this $50 coupon everybody is mentioning? lol I feel I'm missing out.

Sideshow mailed $50 off $200 order coupons to some people. I'd give mine away now but I already put it on my account, hoping to use it on this figure. Wasn't eligible after all and missed the figure, and it expires in like one more day anyway :Flush

Well damn, I wish I got one. Have my eye on the diecast mark 47. Thanks for the info though.

I moaned via email. I, being in the UK, missed it as the time differences meant I was asleep - which frankly, isn't very helpful. I'm trying to complete the set, so it's a huge disappointment. I'm not paying £400+ for it via ebay.

I'm not gonna lie Comic Con exclusives suck to get but I'd be down to buy one but will be honest and sell it for an additional $100 convenience fee. Keep in mind they will charge additional 10% tax I'm sure since it's in CA.

Let me know if anyone is down. I can get up to 2.

I'd be lying if I said I haven't considered selling mine on ebay and making a quick $200 profit. I just know I'm going to have to pay a premium to get another one since I need this for my collection. I wish I could have bought 5, but they had a 1 per person limit online.

I'll just have to see what happens after SDCC. I cannot fathom the demand for this figure actually exists, probably be a Stealth Mk7 all over again. There's what, me and like 3 other people on this entire forum that are building complete HPP sets, who else would even want a camo Shotgun figure at this point? Original Shotgun that was in theory a popular armor design and the original sat in stock forever too (actually, its still in stock now, sheesh been out a year). Most people are burned out on these.

This is probably a brilliant gamut by Sideshow, instead of sitting online forever like Tank, sell directly to convention scalpers that don't actually want it but desperately want "rare" product to flip, sell all stock and Bob's your uncle, they all rot in the secondary market instead of in Sideshows' warehouse. Crafty.

You have a good point. I'm one of the few trying to complete the HPP, so I'll buy it no matter the cost. I saw the other day Shotgun was still for sale with a "low stock remaining" for months now. Clever for them to sell this way, but they'll probably open online sales when they realize they are stock with a ton of them after SDCC. I'll wait for the dedicated email.

While I do believe it is within your right to do whatever you want with something you buy with your or your parent ;) hard earned money, I don't think is a great idea to admit you're going to buy something for the sole purpose of flipping it for a profit on a site where collectors aren't able to acquire that specific item via regular retail for whatever reason. But that's just my opinion.

Supply and demand.

Blame the game, not the player.

Or simply put, blame those smart enough to pay out of the ass for them.

You may be one of the few on this site that is trying to complete the HPP, but scour all the other hobby sites and you will come to find there are definitely more collectors amassing the armors than lead to believe.

Many will not admit they are because others condemn the number of pieces that get produced for the line either out of jeoulousy or hate for the line and sheeping into the rhetoric. So most don't publicly broadcast how many they may have in the collection.

In this hobby people get the fever for limited figures, so some will want this as a snap reaction and ultimately they will let it go at reasonable prices. Prepare to be gouged in the short term if you missed it and want to aquire it now. Not saying extraordinary circumstances will lead to someone getting a deal but in general it will be inflated in price till shortly after SDCC.

We should be trying to hook each other up with good deals on this board not trying to squeeze extra money out of each other. Just my opinion.

Most of the for sale threads on the forum are higher prices then what people bought the original piece for. I had someone offer to sell me a Han in Carbonite for $800 and said it was a deal. I haven't bought any of these but if I were to, I'd sell it for under eBay listings. If no one wants it, then I won't go out of my way to buy it.

You don’t have to justify anything.

If someone is dumb/insane enough to pay you $600 for this, laugh your way to the bank and enjoy. Is that simple.

I know I would.

There's a few people in this thread that obviously want it. Whether they want to pay an extra $100 for it is another story.

Flipping for a extra $100 minus taxes?
