Just got back from seeing this. Didn't think much of it at all. The only Iron Man film worth watching, and worth watching multiple times is the first one. Then watch The Avengers for more Iron Man.

Iron Man=10/10 after about 8 viewings.
Iron Man 2=2/10 after 2 viewings.
Iron Man 3=2/10 after 1 viewing.
Avengers (only because Iron Man is in it)=10/10 after possibly 10 viewings.

I can't believe you have only seen Iron Man Two twice...
You can't seriously judge a film based on only a couple of viewings, especially one made by a director that is such a genre fanboy. It's packed with information, some that you can only get after several viewings.

Anyone else think that after a certain point the roman numerals get a bit ridiculous? Lets just say the number.

Well it's interesting to note that the MK42 simply has "MK42" on the arm when Tony looks at it.
I just downloaded a cam screener to tide me over till i go see it again this week.
That soundtrack is really well done.

For me, I gave Iron Man 2 a second chance, but it just reinforced my issues with it. Namely I can not stand Tony Stark in number 2 , and the story bored me. I didn't think much of Whiplash or the other bad guy either. They did nothing for me. I really don't feel the need to give it a third go to see if I change my mind.

I will give Iron Man 3 the same second chance when it comes out on disc, even though I said it was not worth multiple viewings.. I regularly do. Who knows, I may change my mind. I did with Thor and The Fith Element as well as TDK. Although TDKR was worse on second viewing.

I give it a 7/10. Was decent for the most part but the glow villains weren't my cup of tea and all the suits getting destroyed and not featured much also irritated me. The story overall was pretty good but basic, the Mandarin twist whilst the most interesting thing in the film felt like it was hinted at far too early, before the miami invasion scene i was already thinking Killian was behind it all.

Still i want HT to make the MK15,39 & 40 as i love those suit designs.

My fave part was the MK VII cameo :)

Saw it today.

I liked it. it was good, not excellent but very good.

Characters were all around pretty decent with Pepper, Mandarin and Killian taking centre stage for me.

I'm conflicted about The Mandarin as the way he was presented was excellent and if used to his potential cold've been amazing.

With that said him as Trever was just funny as hell and Kingsly played it great.

The armours weren't the focus of the movie which was great, but same again it's a shame we didn't get to see them for more that a few seconds

Overall it's not as good as Iron Man but better than Avengers, IM2 & TIH and on par with Thor and TFA.

Pros:
The armour being used to capture and imprison people.
The theme was good and gave Tony Stark a chance to shine as himself
Trevor was funny
Extremis was cool in moderation (not with the homeland security woman for example)
Loved how the armours opened and closed

Cons:
Mandarin not being Mandarin
The forced neatness of destroying all the armours so they couldn't be used whenever needed in future like with the Avengers.
Pepper becoming Superhuman which was cool but then erased not long after.
Not fully explaining how he was able to control the armour with his mind at the beginning.
The Kid was good at first but got boring quick.

Watched IM3 for the second time. Seeing it in 2D this time made me better appreciate some details.

I also found a Comic Mandarin story plot that matches the movie very much.
The movie didn't deviate that much from the comics.

I think seeing IM3 for the second time helped me get over the shock of the plot twist as well. Makes it easier to accept Kilian as the Mandarin. I have now accepted that Trevor was just Mandarin's double.

Mandarin was not bastardized by the film, the film simply exhibited the Mandarin's incredible foresight.

Upping the score from 8 to 8.5. :clap

Which comic is that because even though i've never read a Mandarin comi even i know that...

He's a sorcerer. we all knew he wouldn't be that from when we first saw him, but him being the terrorist made sense for our time and he looked and acted great until it was revealed he was a druggie actor

Sorry but fans can't say that Marvel Studios is the most "authentic" anymore.

Trevor was funny and i liked it but he should've been the real Mandarin or if not then the terrorist and not an actor. They screwed up Mandarin worse than Sony did green Goblin or Fox did Dr Doom

You weren't paying attention.

Kingsley WASN'T the Mandarin.... He never was. KILLIAN was the Mandarin...

Killain was Adrich Killain man who controls the Mandarin "character" played by Trevor

I don't think he ever referred to himself as "The Mandarin" but i do remember hims saying he'd have "the Mandarin in one hand and the leader of the free world in the other" and when he kidnapped the president he aid something like the Mandarin is waiting for you.

He was the villain but not the Mandarin as the Mandarin was a character used to terrify the world

Just got back from seeing this, I enjoyed it but can see why people are having some negative thoughts on it. Still think oblivion was more enjoyable
