when trolls try to portray that 'most people thought movie xx was crap' when that's blatantly untrue from a survey of all the evidence out there, they must be smacked down. :lecture :lol

They're just doing it wrong.

Should be,

"Hey bro, most kids (younger interweb user bros) think TDKR was crap and think that, The Shawshank Redemption, The Godfather, The Godfather: Part II, Pulp Fiction, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, 12 Angry Men, The Dark Knight, Schindler's List, The Return of the King, Fight Club, The Empire Strikes Back, The Fellowship of the Ring, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Inception, Goodfellas, Star Wars, Seven Samurai, Forrest Gump, The Matrix, The Two Towers, City of God
Se7en, The Silence of the Lambs, Once Upon a Time in the West, Casablanca, The Usual Suspects, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Rear Window, It's a Wonderful Life, Psycho, Léon: The Professional, Sunset Blvd., American History X, Memento, Apocalypse Now, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Saving Private Ryan, Dr. Strangelove, City Lights, Alien, North by Northwest, Spirited Away, Modern Times, Django, Unchained, Citizen Kane, Back to the Future and The Shining are waaaaay better movies."

Irrefutable, amirite?

Wasn't he talking about

all the other suits he had made?

I dont think so, i thought he meant the robots were in that building, i think he said "replace the staff with the robots he's got downstairs" - should of noted that quote when i heard it.

I agree. However, when trolls try to portray that 'most people thought movie xx was crap' when that's blatantly untrue from a survey of all the evidence out there, they must be smacked down. :lecture :lol

"Evidence" being other peoples opinion? :lol
Good one...

When Disney obtains DC Comics, they should make a Batman/Iron Man movie.

We're talking about opinions in the first place. Nova claims that 'most people' deem TDKR sucked. To disprove that claim, I put forward that IMDB is the biggest and most representative database of general audience opinions about films out there. And as per that, TDKR does not 'suck' according to 'most people'. Not in the slightest.

Furthermore, if you like CP are super anti IMDB (despite there being no logical basis to disregard it's rating system), TDKRs scores on metacritic and RT only serve to strengthen my point.

If you don't like TDKR that's absolutely fine, whatever, but don't try to claim that 'most people' don't like it.

And CP, yes, overrated or underrated can never be a matter of fact. Only opinion.

I'm yet to be challenged on that statement.

Most representative database of the people who uses that site.

Most representative database of the people who uses that site.

Of people who use the internet. I'm not saying its totally representative, just saying its the most. If there is a more representative sample of people who use the internet, please, guide me to it. :wave

Bear in mind the larger the sample size and the more diverse the demographics of people using the site, the more 'representative' it is, from a stats point of view.

Also, IMDB's statement on how it adjusts its ratings:
Weighted Average Ratings
IMDb publishes weighted vote averages rather than raw data averages. Various filters are applied to the raw data in order to eliminate and reduce attempts at 'vote stuffing' by individuals more interested in changing the current rating of a movie than giving their true opinion of it.
The exact methods we use will not be disclosed. This should ensure that the policy remains effective. The result is a more accurate vote average.

What did you rate TDKR?

Rounded up the score to a "perfect movie". :lol :wink1: You're not alone though, out of the 600.000 who voted, about 40% rounded it up to a perfect score as well. :lol
