They failed miserably, it seems to be making money worldwide.

Perhaps you should spend some time brushing up on reading comprehension. I've said all along theres no way it won't make bank but that has nothing to do with how well it's recieved after the people pay and get to see it.

RDJ himself clearly stated not 2 weeks ago he comes from an acting family and would rather have respect than money. He said he won't keep going if the movies are not well recieved and he did not mean box office. Don't be surprised when he only signs onto more Avengers and no more solo Iron Men after this reception.

And I haven't even seen it yet, I'm simply being realistic. Even if I love it, alot of people clearly didn't and that's going to affect the decision he seems to be waiting to make.

Yes and if I'm not mistaken did The Amazing Spiderman not also recieve an A. Head over to that thread and see how much hate there is.

Yep, the main problem is there was some designs I was really liking and now we'll probably never see them again. Gone in a flash of 30+ suits.

I think 90% of people generally are pumped after having just watched a movie and give it a good rating right off. Only later on when you think about it does you start to question things and it drops or remains at it's score

I have yet to see any criticisms against Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. None. In fact, people are still raving about him.

How is that "not being received well"? And what's wrong with just doing one more Avengers film? That's actually what I expect. One more great go with Stark/Iron Man and that's it. I'm perfectly content if 3 is the last Iron Man and he returns with Cap, Thor, Hulk an the gang for Avengers 2. 5 films total, not bad at all.

Does a villain's twist and negative fan boy response really taint all the great things that better Stark/Iron Man? That seems petty.

I think you're 100% spot on, in fact with someone else besides RDJ, I could have easily seen myself on the detractors list for this film (although I actually loved Trevor).

Probably just me but I love seeing RDJ strut around like a Peacock for 2 hours +

But i'll admit that personally i'm having issues with the movie.

Theres plenty of negative reviews on RT. You can cry all you want but not even TDKR had this much of a divide in terms of people who did and didn't like it.

I would say it's about the overall quality of the movie vs just his performance as himself. If 2 was a step down from 1 and 3 from 2, than it's safe to assume a 4th movie would be even more mediocre. Harrison was great in Crystal Skull, I'm not terribly excited at the prospect of a 5th Indy. What's wrong with him doing Avengers? Ultimately nothing, I've already said all I want is him back as Stark for the Avengers sequels so I dunno why Niltusk is so ********. I have also said I thought the choice of Black over Fav was a mistake from the moment it happened and this movie wouldn't be any real improvement. I'm not some crazy theorist. Oswald shot Kennedy, we went to the moon, the boston bombings were not the government, but Feige and RDJ aren't getting along super well.

As for Killian's motivation wasn't it money, success and ****ting on Tony? I don't know. Villain motivations and plans are always weird and convulse yes and hard to understand. Just look at last year's comic book flicks.

Yeah, the VP thing was funny, my daughter has a bum leg so i'm going to sell off my country and allow the president to be assassinated just so she can now have an unstable leg that blows up, wut!

It wasn't like his motivation was to even be president, if it was they would'nt had focussed on her bum leg.
