You spent from 3 pm to 10 pm, 7 hours straight online here on a Friday night yesterday. :lol Maybe don't be so quick to judge eh.

You act like I just stare at my tablet for 7 hours straight. Since I wasn't even in the same cities between those two times would have made it a little hard driving. :lol
Plus, way to take my words out of context; again, you won't find me in threads about movies I can't stand day after day *****ing like a little baby. Notice all the movie threads I either don't comment in or make one comment saying "I hate this movie". You won't see me come into the thread again to troll the people who enjoyed it. I don't keep perusing it and feeling the need to explain over and over why I didn't like the movie. My comment wasn't even directed at people stating their dislike of the movie, its the people who feel the need to troll the thread repeatedly trying to convince people they shouldn't go see the flick for themselves.
BTW, hows your conspiracy theory going that they were going to try to have this movie make no cash and blame it on RDJ? They failed miserably, it seems to be making money worldwide. :slap

Maybe he was not at the keyboard all that time. Like most we are on our cellphones. It would look like I live on this board. Right now I have only been on for 7 mins.

:clap
True enough, but consider the source. Apparently when he posts hes just sitting in a basement somewhere wired into a TRS-80 with a giant floppy drive. For the rest of us, its 2013 :lol

I'm just waiting to see what kind of gimmick the blu ray will advertise

maybe something like " Includes never before seen footage not shown in theaters " in other words...Iron Man scenes :lecture

Includes bonus section which includes every fight scene and additional armor and IP footage that wasn't shown in theaters under the secret menu entitled " I don't know how to direct or edit a superhero film " by Shane Black.

:mwaha:mwaha:mwaha:mwaha

I don't think so, he just created the Mandarin.

No, I don't think he had any association with the group from the first film.

Let's not forget about Raza and the other fat terrorist leader. They were hardcore, not actors.

YOU ANSWERED YOUR OWN QUESTION JYECAT.

Who am I?

I'm Spiderman. :lol

The movie Mandarin was pretty badass. Like the comics versions, he was a science genius, incredibly arrogant with plans to manipulate and control the world and could destroy Tony's armor with his bare hands. While a bit over the top, though fitting for a comic book movie, I thought the fire breathing and tats were fun ways to make him like a Chinese dragon and with Trevor's act, the film makers could have their cake and eat it too, showing a couple of interpretations of the character. I was okay with them combining comic characters into 1 before, whiplash and crimson dynamo, so it wasn't an issue for me in IM3. In fact, it was a kind of elegant solution that they went with the extremis super power making Mandarin a hand-to-hand threat rather than alien power rings that shot different ray beams. It wasn't what I was expecting and the more I've thought about it the more I liked it as there were so many teasers, trailers and photos swirling around I didn't think I would be surprised by the film.

When he wasn't in the suit he was either getting his butt handed to him or running away. He wasn't able to beat the villain without the suit, wasn't able to save Pepper from falling without the suit.

The idea of the movie was about "the man or the suit", but in practice it showed that without the suit he's nothing but an ordinary guy who has to resort to using guns and still can't save the day.

He needs the suit to succeed as the hero. Just like Spider-Man needs his powers and and Banner needs the Hulk.

Well said :lecture

I was waiting for the moment to come when all this shark jumping nonsense and bafoonery would come to an end, and thought it might have when he put the suit on Killian and self destructed it, but then Super Pepper happened...

If the point of the movie was to show the man makes the suit not the other way around it should have been the plot for a different super hero movie :cuckoo:

"If somebody said i was and ordinary guy, Somebody lied."

Now is that the same somebody that said i wasn't and ordinary guy or a different somebody? As saying "somebody" for the second sentance fragment indicates a different somebody and not the aforementioned somebody who'd subsequently be referred to as he or she in a correct phrase.

Hmm... I thought he was declaring that he created the recent Mandarin fraud and not so much that he's been the Mandarin character forever. I really wish they left out the bits about 3000 degree Celsius explosions, etc... but I think it may actually be setting something up for the future. It doesn't seem like Tony cures Pepper of Extremis, but probably stabilizes it so she can actually control it and defend herself. Since Tony has removed his Arc Reactor, maybe he has perfected Extremis enough that he can power the future suits through his own body heat?

Either way... I was left disappointed. I never read the comics so I was looking forward to seeing THE MANDARIN in action... but damn... instead I get volcano man.

For a non spoilers thread, this thread has a lot of spoilers. :lol

extremis tech>alien rings

or at least I find them a more credible and interesting "super power"

More proof average audiences are far from feeling "mixed" about this:

https://movies.yahoo.com/news/iron-man-3-heads-170m-weekend-68m-friday-152228608.html

Disney's and Marvel's "Iron Man 3' is on track to kick off the summer movie season with a $170 million opening weekend at the box office, after rocketing to $68 million on its first day of release...

...Saturday and Sunday crowds at the more than 4,250 theaters showing "Iron Man 3," the majority in 3D, could grow based on positive word of mouth. Opening night audiences gave it an "A" CinemaScore.
It will far outstrip the $128 million 2010 debut of "Iron Man 2" and easily be 2013's best opening, more than doubling the $79 million opening of Disney's "Oz the Great and Powerful" in March.
The Friday number for "Iron Man 3" includes $15.6 million from Thursday 9 p.m. and midnight showings.
