Imo Shane Black and his group of screenwriters should stay away from superhero movies and just stick with regular action flicks lol...at least Favreau gave the Iron Man suits the proper fight scenes they deserved (although Mark V's and the Iron Whiplash final battle scene could've been better).

It was so awesome it was to see Mark VI and WM kick butt together when cornered by the hammer drones in IM2, and I was disappointed when we didn't get something like that in IM 3. All we got at the end was a clueless man constantly changing armors in a hope that he'll eventually get the right suit to defeat the villain (and failed miserably), and required his gf on steroids to save the day.

Witness Trev in all his glory. Bow before teh mandarin!:lecture

So... just to recap...

Cinemascore: A
IMDB rating: 7.9/10
Flixter user ratings: 83% like
Rotten Tomatoes aggregate: 78% critics like

To some people all this equals... negative to mixed response.

Okay. :D

"Mixed" doesn't mean just 50-60% liked. A 70-80% score with this many divergent viewpoints... That's pretty mixed.

Oh, and Kingdom of The Crystal Skull scored an "A" on its opening weekend too (even though it had its instant detractors online as well). That's another card you can stop playing.

A significant amount of people do not like this movie. Yet many do and it'll be a huge hit. So what?

WHAT IF??? what if in the avengers 2, the mandarin teams up with thanos and some other villains against earth? and what if it's revealed at that time that the mandarin that was captured was indeed a double for the real mandarin??? tony and rhodey simply walked into the scene where the actor was the only mandarin present. remember deflection of exactly who the bad guy is allows the villain to pull the strings of the puppet from behind the scenes. and the real mandarin can be played by...ben kingsley. ingenious if you ask me.

This is the greatest point made about how people review films. Critics wanted to love IM3 so they did. With time it will be known as the "really bad" Iron Man movie.

WTF?

:lol

What about the critics that gave it a bad review. Were they looking to hate IM3 and reviewed it accordingly?

:panic::panic::panic::panic::panic:

More Trevor, or a sneaky little Mandarin.

Win/Win if you ask me. :lol

Or they could dabble with clones so we have a genuinely evil Mandarin and good ole Trevor (I seriously love the guy, great character).

Twist aside, did anyone like the eerie music that played during the Mandarin tapes or am I the only one? It really had a creepy vibe to it, especially with the Presidential message. That was a pretty great, sinister theme.
