All I was thinking was,

I had to kill Bob Morton because he made a mistake, now it's time to erase that mistake.

RC > IM3.

Then again this Mandarin thing really left an awesome impression on me.

What ****ing b a l l s Marvel had. :lol

They seriously enjoyed ****ing with the Sideshow Freaks. :lol

By far the weakest of the series.

>Tony MacGyver? :slap

>Fatherless kid who helps the hero? :yuck

>Mandarin not as Moriarty but as moron? :huh

>Pepper Paltrow as the Molten Girl? :cuckoo:

>Bad guy breathes fire?
I repeat: Bad guy breathes fire? :gah:

>Armor parts that fly cross-country like Iron Giant reassemblers? :dunno

>The six dozen suits are barely seen, poorly utilized, and seemed to exist solely to create MORE TOYS TO LINE LANDFILLS WITH.

IM2 was better, and I found it to be several notches below the 2008 original.

Yes, it's hard to catch lightning in a bottle.
Shane Black bottled flatus here, though. :thwak

At least I can honestly say I have no desire to collect any figs from this flick.

Seemed only vaguely like a Shellhead movie.

Why didn't all of them breath fire. :dunno

Not at all, I haven't seen any trolls, simply people who didn't like it. :dunno Who's trolling? You're the only one in here name calling, not the people who didn't like it. All my secret plots? The one single one that Feige doesn't want to pay RDJ 100 million for just 2 more Avengers? How crazy of me...

I thought you starting out your statement by insulting my reading comprehension wasn't exactly friendly, guess I miss the subtleties of how you discuss in a friendly way. And I apologize in advance if that wasn't you that said you had a theory that they were going to thow a 200 million dollar movie just to get rid of RDJ. Obviously, you're not that nutty...

So I wonder if my theory is coming true and they submarined this movie on purpose to get rid of Fav and RDJ....
Oh... :lol:lol:lol

for all the guys who HATED IM3 and are fed up with all this iron man crap, especially the releases of hot toys, then kindly sell your pre-ordered IM Mark VII Battle Damaged figure to me for what you paid for it. thank you for your immediate attention towards this matter.

Yes and whats your point with your last quote, that's still exactly what I'm saying. Why would Feige want to have to pay RDJ 100 Million dollars for just 2 more movies when he would prefer to recast the character? (his own words)

Write a mediocre movie that will still make bank based purely on what it is, than use it as an excuse to not make more solo movies and have to pay him even more money. Now they can just pay him for cameos in Avengers and reboot the franchise when they finish A3.

Did Star Wars AOTC flop based on the ****ty script and performances of The Phantom Menace or did it make retard bank based purely on the words Star Wars?

Yeah, the VP thing was funny, my daughter has a bum leg so i'm going to sell off my country and allow the president to be assassinated just so she can now have an unstable leg that blows up, wut! :lol

It wasn't like his motivation was to even be president, if it was they would'nt had focussed on her bum leg. :lol

Ok, so he just wanted to **** with Stark.

Meh, maybe. :lol

Ok enough motivation I guess. :lol

More motivation than Loki's "cause Thanos told me to" :lol

He was the alpha male extremis.

Perhaps he was the first and they'd all have gotten the Fire Breath if they'd lived longer.

Did they all Die, The Extremis(ts) in the final battle?

Why didn't all of them breath fire.

And talk like Smaug!

Movie could've used some dragons . . .

And bearded midgets. Maybe transforming cars.

And RDJ should've spoken in a cheap British accent while solving The Mystery of Bunghole Tennessee.

Mark 7 is from Avengers, whiny-boi. Keep weepin' :monkey2

I may have read too much into it, but when Killian shot the chick I thought he was basically dooming them all to blowing up anyways. :dunno
Every Iron Man has so many holes in it I don't bother thinking too deeply into it.

I think 90% of people generally are pumped after having just watched a movie and give it a good rating right off. Only later on when you think about it does you start to question things and it drops or remains at it's score

:lecture:lecture

Yeah the twist isn't the only problem people have with IM3, it's just the most common.

So much bad in this film you have to just try and point to the one most glaring issue.

All I was thinking was,

I had to kill Bob Morton because he made a mistake, now it's time to erase that mistake.

Same Here!!

This is one of those damn films I have to buy on Blu to complete the series but will never ever watch except for maybe the Attack on tony's house.

I liked IM3. It wasn't pretending to be important or high art. "I knew you were Batman because you visited my orphanage and I saw that look in your eyes..."

Can I nitpick the film? Yes. I can nitpick any film. But overall I was entertained.

I was really hoping the third movie would strike a chord with me like the first did. It didn't, and I was thinking about it this morning. This series now feels a lot like Pirates of the Caribbean where you have a solid first outing with a fantastic lead but is never able to capture the magic of the first in its following sequels. The lead remains great to watch, but the plot gets way out of hand...

Nor was I.

But when the previous two films capture the main character from the comics so well, one does tend to expect the third act to follow suit.

So much in IM3 seemed like it belonged in another movie:

>Two outnumbered buddies assaulting a naval dock at night = Lethal Weapon

>Hero tied to bedsprings in a grimy room = Mission Impossible/James Bond

>Autonomous armor pieces that zip around individually and then reassemble = Iron Giant

>Bad guy breathes fire = The Hobbitt

There was very little of Stark in his armor.
Everybody and their mothers wore the armors, or the armors ran themselves around empty, or the armors got blown to bits at 128 frames per second, but where was Tony in the tin suit? :dunno

I would love to have been wrong, but I never expected them to recreate how great the original was. I remember first viewing in the theatre better than 90% of the movies I've seen since then.

I'm just waiting to see what kind of gimmick the blu ray will advertise

maybe something like " Includes never before seen footage not shown in theaters " in other words...Iron Man scenes :lecture[/B]

Yep! :clap :goodpost:

Are you sure you're not Difabio or kindred of?

Nah, I am me and I didn't even see Difabio criticizing this movie.

Let me add that Pepper Potts, ACTION STAR, was stupid also. F this film F It straight to hell.

I can only assume that the fans of this film and the critics who liked it will one day wake up. When IM2 came out I remember reading that it was better then the first and then people started to see it more and realized it was not a very good film either. No offence to Dfanatic, as he love IM2 but most reviews I have seen of IM3 mention how it washes away IM2 (this is very wrong, again IM2 was a classic compared to this)

That was the one thing I felt I forgot to mention. That ending with Pepper was dumb. She was all innocent, frail asking for help and what not and suddenly, 2 seconds later, she has these mad skills (mind you, you could argue that that was all product from the Extremis) where she can jump and catch an armor mid air, and use it's projectile to kill Killian (which was already dead). Tony should have been the one to kill him. that finale with the armor self destructing would have been a good one, it would have given a great purpose to the Mark 42. It just further evidence that (as many people mentioned here before), without his armors, Tony is incapable of being a "hero".

Also, I brought up Iron Man 2 just so people can get an idea of how high my "bad movie, pain threshold" is. I actually consider that a great IM movie. Unlike IM3, the acting was great; the action was memorable; the suits, arc and villains had a real purpose; War Machine actually "ROCKZ" and had the perfect level of comedy (which was nice and subtle). Just an all around, better movie.

it was 70% comedy 20% action and 10% disappointment for me.

the mandarin thing was a let down

i wanted to see pots in full sexy iron woman gear

and the lack of screen footage for the new iron men was a let down too

to top things off there was this gal next to me that kept on saying "baby!" and "oh tony!" every time something bad happened to him.

So... just to recap...

Cinemascore: A
IMDB rating: 7.9/10
Flixter user ratings: 83% like
Rotten Tomatoes aggregate: 78% critics like

To some people all this equals... negative to mixed response.

Okay. :D
