It does look kind of goofy, but they're also crappy photos.

I remember reading that there is going to be lots of armors in this movie.

IP's color scheme is still > Mk.VII coloring by far.

I am worried about Shane Black, I have no idea how you can watch Kiss Kiss, and think oh this guy for Iron Man. Especially based on what Favreau has already put forth but heres to hoping they don't f up what could be RDJ's last outing as Stark.

Oh and I also will miss Justin Hammer, what a great character, I thought for sure with his warning to Pepper he'd be back.

As silly as I find the IP's paint scheme, I just smile at the thought of Tony fighting against an IM armor (or a very close derivative). The Mark IV vs. Mark II fight in IM2 was one of its best scenes.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is amazing. Underrated flick.

I think it's a great movie, with great performances but I don't see how you can watch it and think Shane will be good for the action and sort of fast paced world Favreau has created. It's like when I watch Nolan or Tarantino I don't think "these guys should direct Iron Man".

I'd be more concerned with how much Marvel/Disney interfere with Black than I would Black's take on things.

Some are saying it isn't Iron Patriot at all though that it's Detroit Steel

I didn't think about that but it could be. That character wasn't much but he looked cool as hell in the comics.
