I feel pretty much the same. I didn't feel the like the trailer was a bait and hook trick. Not as far as tone or style.

And I agree that it's better that the trailer not give everything away. It teased enough for me to be excited about the movie, and it delivered all that plus some unexpected surprises. Which is a good thing.

Should I be mad at Oblivion because the trailer tried to trick me into thinking there are aliens on earth Tom is shooting at???
Or should I feel cheated and lied to by some Hollywood conspiracy going on?
(some people don't understand the point of trailers)

Yeah why did he shut down? Is there some weakness that they knew to exploit they forgot to explain?

Also Jye, you've seen it more than me, was AIM involved in the program or something with IP? I thought I remembered something like that.

Yeah, it's a very "wut?...." moment. I just kind of rolled with it when I first saw it...but now...

Just like Stark/Rhodey not calling the president to warn that if they ran into IP to shoot at first sight because it wouldn't be Rhodey. :slap

Here's the panel and the next panel showing the projectiles hitting. Given this is a comic and you never can tell. Could just be yellow lasers :lol

Also no one is going to pay this comic any mind later on anyway so we could still get lasers :yess:

man ! I wish this was in IM3 !!! IRON PATRIOT did nothing. waste of time.

Bane was nothing like the comic at all. So must mean epic fail?
Because the Mandy wasn't either?
Also, Batman was barely in the movie. It was mostly a crippled guy and a guy in a prison who magically fixes his back hanging from a rope.
So epic fails all around then?

Thank god Star Trek comes out soon....

bane is an epic villain. killian was nothing.

Just seen this film and all I'm going to say is wow :)

No spoiler please. Was there a lot of action or all talk? Some reviewer here said it was boring with no ironman much at all. He also said it was very slow and when the audience was done people seems quite and no too please. I really hated the second one so what's your thoughts on this compared to the second one? Without giving the movie away please. Thanks :)

^ Mostly talk. Little action. More of a build up to the final scene.

Not a lot of Iron Man.

It's why I loved it.

I saw Star Trek Into Darkness last night and much preferred it to this to be honest.
Like Iron Man 3 it had some surprises that you do not see coming from the trailers, but this time it's a nice surprise and not a prank that some find funny while it pisses off others. The big difference is that the new Star Trek has a lot of good humour without sacrificing the peril. It also has a lot more emotional impact.

That's a weird comparison to make.

And I don't think this film really intended to be giving you a great emotional impact. It just wanted to entertain you for a few hours. It got dark, but still kept the humor.

Not really they are both 2013 blockbusters designed to entertain.
There is no need to be so defensive about the movie it's only my opinion.

It's written and directed by Shane Black. So not surprisingly it's a bit like a PG-13 Lethal Weapon except the black guy and the white guy aren't cops, they are superheroes. And they are matter-of-fact about being superheroes.

Iron Man 2 felt like an episode on a TV show that spent most its time introducing characters and laying the groundwork for a season finale later on with a freak-of-the-week (Whiplash) tacked on. But numer three was a self contained movie with a satisfying story arc. What it wasn't was a movie about a guy with super powers. It was about a guy with a super powered suit.

Damn how cool is this scene. I honestly think no other Iron man movie has been able to top it.
