Im3 is so good that while I was watching it I forgot I was in an ironman movie. Seeing tony stark hang out with a kid, call a kid a ***** (felt like watching billy bobs Bader Santa), shop at home depot, and pilot his suit from his couch was just what I always wanted in an IM movie. Who says superheros should be nice to kids. It was also cool when the main, or secondary or whatever villain he was supposed to be, for no apparent reason breaths fire out his mouth and doesn't even hit anything or a target. It was cool seeing tony inject himself with extremes and then remove the arc reactor (oh wait). It was even better to see him use a portal battery charger to charge his suit even though he spent all that time making the super powerful reactor in his chest. Its was clever when tony gets Jarvis back online and instead of calling in a better suit then the mark 42 he waits to the very end to call them in so he can make everything more difficult then it needed to be just so i could see 50 of them explode at the end.

The very best thing about IM is that the director thought he was making kiss kiss bang bang part 2, but upon discovering his mistake, he realized he had a good comedy so he added in a few cameos of ironman and tony stark together. He didn't want tony in the suit too much which was cool, who wants an ironman with an actual man in it anyway?? Ironman doesn't need tony stark. I also liked that ironman broke apart so easily, I like hero's that fall apart or are ripped in half on contact. Il really ramps up the drama, compared to the stupid avengers where the suit withstood thors hammer, withstood being grinded in a propeller and multiple alien weapon blast. It was cool seeing gandi play an actor playing a villain, I mean I don't know why no other movie has done that before. Hopefully when I see man of steel, zod is an actor pending to be the villain, while perry white the real villain is mad at Clark for making him wait for him at the daily planet too long. So he wants zod to pretend to be an alien invading rival newspapers so he can blow up those newspapers and control the news

I realize I'm behind in the discussions but I'm reading through some of these to get caught up and this made LOL!! :rotfl

So I see that IM3 featured the "Silver Centurion." Did he actually wear this for a few seconds during the final fight or was it just another drone? His armors got demolished so quickly I can't really remember what he did and didn't wear.

They were all useless armors created for the single purpose to show Stark's character change at the end.

The extremis foot soldiers battle was pointless.

The extremis foot soldiers battle was pointless.

Not as pointless as Zod Vs. Superman.

That scene wasn't needed in Iron Man 3, but dumb comic fans demanded it. Personally, a one on one battle would've sufficed. But that would've made it worse. Shame on humanity.

I agree with DiFabio (I know, shocker, not my fault that he knows what he's talking about), it's time for tighter more personal stories and less convoluted plots.

This is why TDK is a masterpiece, it was small, tight, personal yet the stakes were still high.

TDK was a battle for souls. The Devil Went Down to Gotham.

IM3 actually succeeded at that more than MOS.

MOS battle spectactle and amazing flying succeeds at tricking you into accepting and thinking that the plot is important and well designed.
