Just amazing, not one negative thing to say about this beauty. I can’t wait, 2nd batch though.
Looks great. Concerned about some of the scratches/scuffing on the front right of the hood (you can see around the 4:55 mark) and that being a possible issue with this type of paint finish.
This seriously looks like one of the greatest releases in 1/6 scale ever conceived.

This is partly why I wouldn’t want to do the long sea shipping option, wait that long and possibly deal with a QC issue.
I have this ordered and I'm super excited as well. I think it's probably going to be the best 1/6 vehicle that's ever been produced. I do have one minor gripe, though, and that is the color of the wheels. They look way too gold to me and I've never seen any '89 replica with gold wheels like that. I know Joost used reference photos to come up with the color for them, but I still don't think they look accurate. I mean, this is the car WB used in the official documentary about the Batmobile so I don't think it gets much more reference than this.

The car on your photo is from Returns and not 89 with black rims, black air intakes and black gas caps.
The car used in 89 definitely gets these gold/bronze/aluminium color on the rims.
100% accurate IMO.

It looks exceptional and I could praise this highly intricate effort all day.
To play Devil in the Moonlight's advocate, though, there are a couple of nitpicks where the HT seems to shine more. Keep in mind, I am exclusively going by the review video, and some of the things I'm pointing out may be due to it being an early sample or they are in fact accurate to the source material.
-the cockpit gap at the top. I assume this must be accurate to the film prop, otherwise why would it not align properly. Or it is user error.
-Next to the die-cast steering wheel, the switches in the cockpit and especially the gear shifts, look plastic-y. Unlike the HT's, which have a metallic finish on them.

-While the die-cast grid panels are nice, and I take it they are accurate to the source material, they do seem to mess with my perception of the vehicle's scale. What's more distracting, at the right angle, you can see through to the other side.
-The finer air intake holes on the left seem to scale better, but then again, I guess it's accurate.

-The browning machine gun bullets aren't painted copper-gold yet.
-While it’s neat being able to hide the side hooks in the barrel, it’s unfortunate the hook can’t be positioned in a “about to fire“ position, like with the HT. I'd rather it could just be pegged in there and put it in the trunk when not in use than having the convenience of storing it in the barrel but not be able to attach it like in the iconic moment from the film.

-Unlike HT's it seems the Bat-Disk thrower compartment lid is not magnetized, which could result in fingernail damage to the coating.
-The sound effects choices are a bit puzzling. They could have focused more on isolated sounds (engine ignition (1989 and 1992), drive-by sounds from Descent into Mystery, drive-by sounds from Batman Returns, machine guns, shield sound, dropping hubcap bombs). Playing an entire audio clip from the film seems a bit low-effort compared to everything else about the vehicle.
So yeah, a couple of issues that probably only exist on this early sample, but I felt it important to point them out nonetheless.

I agree with you for the gun bullets missing the gold effect and the side hook which can’t stay properly in the fire mode.
In an other hand, HT interverted the right machine gun position.
I also agree that the HT cockpit is one of the best part of the car. Really well done. But I also feel they cleaned and idealized it a little bit.
The cockpit and dashboard of the real car were really rough and a mess.
I think Joost is pretty accurate on this point too.

What is curious about the HT 1989 Batmobile, is that the prototype used for the packaging had the bullet belt on the correct side (left side on both turrets), and the cockpit window was more accurately shaped.
Thank you for those dashboard pictures. I wonder if there is one that confirms the green color lighting to the glass elements?
