NO they will not....soft reboots ahead and I think it hinges on who stars in The Batman

That's what i would have thought. They will just evolve until they get to what the majority of the movie going audience wants. Some of the cast is epic and some of them are really good so i want them to get the formula right with this cast.

:lol :lol :lol

Thank you for writing what I was feeling but i'm too retarded to write myself.

Perfect review.

This movie offered nothing more than just a few punches because I certainly didn’t buy into Cyborg’s I want to live dialogue at the end because they never sold me on his i’m better off dead in the beginning.

Superman was just a wasted mess of a character they had no idea what to do with him.

Look at their dilema.

If they left Superman to Steppenwolf he would’ve stopped Steppenwolf in 1 minute leaving no big baddie for the JL too fight.

So they had to take Superman out of the fight to now go save people we’ve never even seen in that wasteland.

Just horrible at all conceivable levels of story telling.

This onion has one layer, stink.

AOU is Shakespeare compared to this.

:rotfl that's a great line, I'm going to have to steal it.

Yeah I agree with you on it all, and that didn't even occur to me that if superman had been in the same place as them the fight would have been over in a second. So they send him off... Terrible.

I wonder what happend to all the civilians when he picked up that building and turned it on its side... Lol

AND JL is showing weak holiday numbers.

I’m sorry but WB deserves it this movie needs to burn and burn it will.

MOS/BvS are masterpieces compared to this.

I agree.. WB deserves all this.. Even though I enjoyed JL.. WB just did it all wrong.

MOS and BvS are ugly films with limited rewatch-ability

Suicide Squad was stupid all around and ugly also.

WW got it right and was what MOS should have been.

JL tried to fix all that but the grave had been dug.. They stuck with Snyder's vision for far too long.

They tried so hard to play catch up with Marvel.. Big mistake. No vision and no direction.

They also put a time limit on the one film that should have had a longer running time.. Just goes to show that WB has no idea what they are doing.

I really don;t think the final Snyder cut would have made a bit of difference for this film as far as box office goes. It would have been darker but probably still disjointed (if BvS is any indicator) and most of the Critics and movie goers probably had their minds made up about this film.

All JL seemed to do is piss off fans of MOS and BvS and thus hurt repeat viewings for them and the casual movie goer that did not like those two films probably did not care to see this one. Especially after the awful critical reviews.

I am not sure why Marvel always gets a pass and critics hate on DC so much.. Ben Shapiro (political commentator who loves going to the movies) noted that as far as Rotten Tomatoes goes, all Marvel films probably deserve 10 points less and All DC probably deserve 20 points more. As much as I am not a fan of the 3 out of the 5 DC films I think there is truth to that..

For some reason DC gets a hard critical eye but I think much of that has to do with a lack of vision. MOS is not the film to start the Universe with... BvS was the start of trying to catch up with Marvel. Suicide Squad was just a dumb idea to stick in the middle of all of this. Wonder Woman was done almost perfectly and JL is the perfect end result of this mess of a Universe as the film is a mess itself.

IMO WB should have done it this way..

Stand Alone for

Batman
Superman
Wonder Woman
Aqua-man
A team up film to introduce Flash and Cyborg
BvS but good
JL

Perhaps you could have sprinkled some SS villains in those films and then make SS so we know the characters and get more of a kick of seeing them on screen together... IDK.. It would have helped JL for sure IMO.. Lot less time with introductions and more time spent on plot and interaction.

But there was just such a rush and lack of vision to catch up to Marvel and yet such a desire to be different only to end up trying to be the same...

Dumb.. Just dumb.. Like Jye Said and I said a Few pages back WB got exactly what they deserve.

Oh well RIP DC.. We hardly knew you.

WTF DID I WATCH????

WAS THIS MOVIE REAL?
were these people serious?

how the hell is this a real thing??????????

HOW WAS THIS A REAL PRODUCT MADE BY A COMPANY??

:lol :lol :lol

That was NOT a fun opening night.

I went from a "Chewie we're home" high to Charles Manson thoughts in a span of 2 hours lol

When that emo sith killed Han my blood was boiling.

Cgi Maz made me cringe.

Flat looking locations and indestructible Falcon made my butt hole pucker up.

Joking Finn made me sweat.

Screaming Hux made me laugh.

I had all sorts of issues with the film when I first saw it.. Most of it was that it just did not feel like a SW movie.

I was not sad nor did I care that Han was killed.. One.. I know it would happen.. Ford has wanted that forever.. No way was he coming back for two more films.. The way he died was stupid and lacked was disrespectful to the character.. Not a proper send off.

And as I said before.. It felt more like Harrison Ford was killed not Han Solo. :lol

It;s not a complete failure of a film but like I have said before.. I can at least find some interesting action and ideas in the PT and thought TFA is a better made film I don;t find the action to be any good, the planets are all uninteresting, and the ideas are non existent.

Oh and then there is her. I kid you not.. I hate her more then Jar Jar. :lol

How would you fix the DCEU? Keep the cast and replace Snyder bring out all the stand alone films with proper stories for heroes and villains and then bring out JL 2 and make it close to perfect?

Too fix it you first have to put it down like a sick dog.

I don't know if there is anyway to "fix" the DCEU. The problem is WB decided to do a knee jerk reaction to the critic's reviews of BvS and went for a much lighter tone in this movie. But the problem for WB is half of the fan base, maybe even more going by comments I've seen all over online, liked the darker/more serious tone the DCEU was taking. Now if they go lighter they will piss off those fans but if they don't go lighter they will piss off the rest of them. They're pretty much screwed no matter what they do. I guess if they are going lighter they need to go back and do solo films and take the time to make sure they are making them as good as possible and get the fans on board with those then worry about a JL sequel way down the road.

WB should just focus on individual films because they suck and making a share universe.

Make a good Aquaman, WW2, Batman, and MOS2 and that's it. Forget about JL2, the legion of doom, and that awful SS2 with the Rock as Black Adams....that doesn't even make sense. :dunno

my ratings are:

Man Of Steel (still an amazing faora/zod/superman last act)
wonder woman (awesome first half in the island, wonder woman is bae)
suicide squad (still super stupid but harley quinn is bae, movie is ironically funny, )
batman v superman ( boring, long, stupid story)
justice league: :gah::ohbfrank::duh:duh

JL is more entertaining than BVS, WW and SS.

In some ways, I agree with both of you. I think that JL was more entertaining than those other films. But despite their many many. . .many flaws, the others did all seem better made somehow. Like they were real movies, just real, bad movies that were badly written, tonally inconsistent, and made you feel like crap walking out of the theater. JL felt, like I posted earlier, like a glorified network TV show. Albeit a pretty fun one that was worth the time to watch, even if I doubt I'll ever want to watch it again.

justice league feels like the pilot for a new show.....a pilot where you are quickly introduced to characters because they will have 12 more episodes to develop and a one note villain that will have 12 episodes to grow....

this looked like what a company would show investors to create 12 more episodes. quick. rushed, unfinished, crappy cgi, a rough draft for a producer to pay for more

That's a fair criticism. They did rush into things, and the MacGuffin Mother Boxes were conveniently used to move the plot along and connect everyone together in somewhat unnatural ways. And Steppenwolf was the absolute worst.

I liked it. I did not love it. I am not one of the ones who thought it was better then the original.

"Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" is my favorite sci-fi novel and to me BR (Final Cut) and BR 2049 both perfectly bring aspects of the novel to the big screen but in different ways. As such it's hard for me to pick a favorite apart from whichever one I'm watching at the time. That's after two viewings of 2049 though. It'll probably take a few more viewings to finally decide how it measures up to the original.

IMO it was much too long when it did not need to be.

I can see how the film's length could turn some people off but I love that this film was allowed to breathe.

It was visually stunning.

Yes, arguably the most visually stunning film of the decade (at the very least.)

I know the same thing can be said about the original BUT I grew up with the original and the original had all that Rain :lol

The original had the rain but this one had the dust/snow and awesome Las Vegas. :D

I think when I see it again I will like it more..

I think you will. BR 2049 is impossible to fully digest after just one viewing.

Empire and Star Wars rule over Fellowship but Fellowship is right behind them.

Most of the time I agree with this but there are time when I feel that it's SW and Empire that are just slightly behind. :)
