People only talk about the negatives and not the positives. Talk about all the epic scenes like the beginning when Batman takes down that thief (apart from the part when he calls alfred in front of the thief). Amazon scene with stepenwolf was an amazing ride. The Sups scene when he first came back was epic. Mera underwater was epic and so much more.

Ye the mustache was bad, some cgi was ****, story was bang on average but the good outweighed the bad. In my opinion people should be demanding a better movie but still be reasonably happy with what we got.

I love the opening scenes showing the white guy harrassing the immigrants, the homeless elderly man with the dog and the sign "I tried." Great stuff by Snyder made more powerful with Sigrid's remake of "Everybody Knows." Before those, the Whedon scene of Superman being asked by the kid what he likes about our planet, then Superman looks up -- unable to reply. I was hoping those scenes mean that the movie will tackle the theme "if humanity is worth saving." I was hoping Steppenwolf will challenge the entire JL team the same question Ares asked to Wonder Woman about humanity. But sadly, that theme wasn't thoroughly explored.

How did Batman go from being a bad ass in BvS taking on an entire warehouse of armed thugs right out in the open to having to hide behind a water tower just to take out 1 thug in JL.

So other than Batman looking bad ass perched on that gargoyle in the opening shot of JL the scene that followed was Batman the wimp.

okay ill bite :lol
way i saw it was bats was trying to use the guys fear to attract the para demon, so was cat and mousing the guy to maximize his fear :dunno :duff

Yeah he was totally Batmanning that guy. In BvS he was totally Arkham Citying those guys. I guess both of those are acceptable Batman tactics at this point. There's really not much Batman can do that's not already represented in one media or another. Has he made out with Gordon anywhere yet?

Actually makes sense lol

That doesn't work for me because the scene was presented as him being surprised by the arrival of the creature.

Believe me had the writers originally intended that scene to be of him "cat and mousing" a thug to catch a parademon they would've literally had Batman say that to the audience in a number of ways like explaining it to Alfred or saying it to himself or having it pop up on a computer as a mission objective.

No way would've they allowed the audience to figure that out on their own they would've absolutely telegraphed his intentions.

So no that doesn't work but good try anyways lol.

But doesn't Batman say just that? He says something like "I don't need you, I just need your fear." There's some dialogue to that effect because I knew before the scene was over that he was luring the pd. I remember because I was disappointed - for a spit second I thought the pd was Firefly.

Anybody else get reminded of lion king when steppenwolf got eaten by the parademons? That’s how scar went out

It's not great strategy to have an army of henchmen that will eat you if you have a nightmare. Possibly even a surprise party.

But I think that dialogue only happened after he caught wind of the radar blip on his wrist computer which he figured was a parademon.

Before that he was just afraid of the guy hiding behind a water tower lol.

Who knows maybe the cat and mouse scenario is correct but i'm still not impressed lol.

Yeah I might be wrong since I did not know wtf was going on until Batman was flying through the greenscreen hugging Buzz-Off.

It was pretty clear batman wanted the parademon from the start.
Maybe afflecks acting didnt properly convey this but the scene works as batman wanting the parademon. Was batman surprised when the parademon showed up? I dont remember

Nah it was obvious he was using the thug to draw the parademon

Yeah, i dont recall batman being surprised. It seemed pretty obvious.

The scene was filmed in a comedic tone and edited by the studio so i think context was ruined

So why does he require a thugs fear what’s wrong with his own. :lol

If Parademons were attracted to fear wouldn’t they just be attacking the city already since it’s full of fear every second of the day everywhere, why just a single thug on a roof top.
