Yeah, it sucks he had to sit in the box for so long. Was he opened while you were away, or did you open him when you got back? The cape will relax, don't worry. Might take a bit longer, if he was boxed up this whole time.

The face may just be the way I painted it. I tend to do dark skin tones which doesn't suit every character, espcially Batman. I've been painting them much lighter lately. I may have highlighted it too much.

hey shawn, someone did take him out for me - i asked them to put it in a plastic bag with a sheet of bounce (a little preemptive measure against the smell i'd heard so much about) and i took him out and stood him up today. i was just looking at it again - the paint is actually pretty nice and i like the lighter tone. it's just the transition to the chin (which is much paler) is quite sharp. i think that's what gave me the impression it might have come off. i still think it looks great though. the rest of the tone on the face probably matches keaton much better.

the cape already looks better. just went to see TDK again, came back and its already starting to straighten out. i have to say, i do really love this piece. the paint on the face won't spoil it for me. it's just so well put together and it looks so accurate. can't wait till he's done airing out so i can put him with jack joker and have him displayed with the new generation bats and joker. cool beans shawn! coo-coo-cooooool beans!

You can use a hair dryer to help straighten out the cape.

I asked craigstoycave to post some pics of his Keaton Batman because I wanted to see what this person's custom Bats looked like. He's working on getting some in hand pics taken but he posted those to begin with.

I don't think he's affiliated with the maker at all, even though he included those links. He just bought one of their figs and was showing what it looked like.

Shawn's Batman is the best you can buy for sure but I think there's room in this thread to see some others.

it would be cool to see that other keaton bats actually. i almost went for that one when i bought shawn's batman. i really like the face. would be interesting to see if it looks like that in hand.

Sovereign Studios bats looks so much better than this one.

Yes it is. Seems like the sculpt for that one is better too. The one thing I don't like about theirs is the diaper affect. Shawn's leg armor looks much nicer.

I think Shawn has the best HS I've seen, looking at the one above, I hate how piss poor the edge of the cowl looks leading into the right ear, it looks deformed and of poor quality. Before pjam got this whole movement to get Shawn's figure going, I looked at that other one but some of the sloppyness I saw turned me away for the money it costs.

If you compare the HS of the gun Bats to the nongun Bats it looks different. At least to me it does. Look at this pic then at the other pic and see if you can tell a difference. I think it's mainly the ears.

You're right, but that one looks to have the same neck/head shape Shawn's had before the rework he did for the V2, I like that batter personally.
