Did Wolverine really sleep thru the entire climatic future action set piece in that movie!

I'm the best at what I do and what I do is sleep thru action during the climax of an action movie. :lol

Great writing there Fox.

It was a missed opportunity to show Wolverine against a Sentinel. He was knocked unconscious in the past so they maybe could have had him waking up in the future and fighting off some sentinels and yet still preserved that sense of desperation as they closed in. Meanwhile he had already set in motion everything that was taking place in 1973 so they still could have shown that carrying on without him as it did.

Or not? I dunno

a-dev figured it out but not the huge budget writers, producers and director lol.

I can't remember the exact chronology of how it played out but imagine if young Magneto dispatches Wolverine easily just like in the movie and that causes him to wake up in the future - since he knows he has done all he can in the past - he joins the battle in the future, now fighting alongside old Magneto against the future sentinels. Even their combined strenghts aren't enough and they're all about to be killed but the past unfolds as it does and phwishhhh...enter the new future.

I dunno, someone who has watched the movie more recently than I have tell me why this wouldn't have worked. I have a feeling I may be missing something important.

Just it seems to me that once past Wolverine was knocked out, Kitty was keeping older Wolverine's consciousness in limbo, no longer achieving anything....now maybe she didn't know that? That would explain why she carried on doing her thing I guess - but the writers could easily have just said that when he is knocked out old Wolvie's consciousness automatically returns to its own body.

Maybe they just didn't want Wolverine to get knocked out after getting his ass kicked in 1973 only to wake up and get his ass kicked in 2029. Maybe even Singer has a limit to how often he'll get his ass kicked on screen. On second thought nah...

Nobody cares about that. Nobody.

Whatever order one choses to watch them. Why would it matter to me?

Personally speaking, I don't watch them all because A) I don't binge watch B) I wouldn't watch all the films because I don't care for several of them.

not saying i'm watching them all in one sitting (i've seen them all), was just genuinely curious to see what order you think they should be viewed in, or what the timeline exactly is.

it seemed like it mattered to you because you know the truth. unless you're just talking out of your ass to get Gasparpoints. :lol

I'd probably fall under talking out my ass because the truth is I don't I bother myself with timelines because it doesn't matter. I guess some people need to have that concrete structure, I don't. The only films I watch from the series is X1, X2, DoFP, Wolverine and DeadPool..........No way in hell I can put any structure to it so I don't worry about it.

If I was an uber fan of the series or they were all great films then timeline could be bothersome. As it is, I watch only a few of the films so a timeline isn't that important.

FC
Origins
X1
X2
X3
Wolverine
DoFP
Apocalypse
Logan

So the movie is premiering at the Berlin Film Festival. Its Oscar chances just got real.

Yeah, that was everyone's typical response to anyone who posted "Mad Max: Fury Road will make it to the Oscars" when it premiered in May. Then in January as the Nominees were announced, all those people had to eat crow.
