I might be able to live with this :lol

But srsly having him wearing the comic costume after he openly scorns the fantastic nature of the comics in Logan would be a penalty box offense, IMO. Totally aside from the fact that he has said this is his last outing as the character. Let him RIP for crissakes.

...and that's exactly why he shouldn't wear the costume nor should it have been present in this movie. Am I mistaken or did he say something about a self-promoting ******* in a leotard," when he was holding the comic?:lol

He'd be wearing something close to his future suit from DOFP in DP2. Not the tights from the comics he loathes.

Everyone's minds will get blown when he walks onscreen with the cowl on.

Pretty sure Reynolds will get Stewart in there too.

Why would he wear the cowl, though? What practical purpose does it serve when he's never worn one in the twenty or so years he has operated as Wolverine?

Yeah, something like that. That's one of those things that they just touched on that I LOVE. They didn't spoon feed every detail. No Johnny The Explainer showing up to tell us exactly what happened in Westchester, etc.

I ****ing love this movie. :love

Protection.

As we saw in Logan via
X-24, Wolverine, neither one of them, is unkillable.
.

The only places enemies could penetrate his metal skull would be his eyes and his mouth - both exposed in a cowl. :dunno

Might protect his hair, I guess.

EDIT: I guess it would cover his ear holes. So there's that. :lol

The
Adamantium bullet blew his head clean off.

A cowl would have stopped that.

That's an actual flaw of the movie.

an adamantium bullet shouldn't in any way kill Wolvie. All it does is penetrate the skull, but the brain like any other organ will regenerate. Origins did it right, ironically. Technically, the film can get away with it because even if X24 doesn't die...he will have amnesia, so he's not a threat to the kids, but people thinking he died, are wrong. They can also use that excuse to bring back Jackman with amnesia.

It won't. It'll prevent amnesia...not death :lol
Yeah, X-24 ain't gonna remember ****.

Being mostly unfamiliar with comic Deadpool (I've never read a DP specific title) and mostly unfamiliar with X-Men since the 90s (aside from a few dips here and there) I'm curious - do you include Deadpool as part of the franchise because he has a greater role in the team than I know of, or is it because of the supporting X characters in the movie?

Well, he's part of the "X-World". Like Alpha Flight, The Starjammers, Excalibur, the New Mutants, X-Factor Investigations and X-Force, they're all in one way or another directly tied to the X-Men.

I'm talking about
X-24/evil wolvie

Maybe evil Logan can get amnesia (like the original Logan) and become a "good" guy in the next film....if they make another one. They can continue the relationship between X23 and Logan that way. He doesn't remember everything but he remembers the girl...it's similar to the T 800 and Sarah relationship in T2 in a way. The girl becoming friends with the enemy from the previous film.
I would be interested in that idea coming to life on screen, even though I want to see another actor play Wolvie. Make that movie for me please. [emoji3]

Really hope HT gives us a 1/6 James Howlett. Preferably
with the full beard before the kids Wolvied him up again

I guess it's too late in the HT game to hope for
a combo version - Limo Driver / post-shave (real) last-stand Wolverine?

All I know is I would insta-buy whatever they do unless it was absolutely atrocious.

I still hold out hope for an X1 or X2 Wolverine. I know it's out of favor but i prefer his hair-sprayed coif and street clothes from those.

Saw it last night. Loved it. Best of the x-men movies. There were a few things I did not love and would have liked to have seen done differently but it was a pretty great film overall.

Ok, just as I feared the action in Logan is making the action in X1/2 look even worse than it already was known for.

X1 plot held up ok, there's still some charm left in what really is a clunky boring movie.

X2 better than X1 but not by much, the highlights remain the Nightcrawler opening (that music) and the Lady Deathstrike battle (pretty gruesome in its own right and for the time in a cbm) BUT that Wolverine mansion defense is just very bland. It started good when Wolverine ordered Bobby to remain put, the cool music started then as quickly as it started it was over, they broke the flow of it with dumb looking Colossus. "I can help"....oh stfu, you helped alright you helped break the flow of the combat. Quick note, always loved the sound of Cyclops visor laser in X2.

Just started X3.

Wife taking son out.

Just started X3 with beer and nachos. :yess:

I still love X1 but man the action is lacking.
