Just out of curiosity how would you prefer to see Wolverine's action sequences handled? Would you want anything different than what we've already seen across however movies since X-Men 1?

Well, given that this is the first time they don't have to contend with the MPAA, there's an opportunity here for some truly brutal violence (like the shot from the Red Band trailer) that they just weren't able to do before.

I've always told people that the most logical outcome of people facing Wolverine is that they're getting stabbed in the head - and they've already delivered on that.

Not going to lie, I cried when I first saw Han in the TFA trailer. Then I saw the movie and was angry lol. I also teared up in SS with the father daughter relationship.

I don't know that I buy that that's the "average" reaction to the trailer. At least not the guy. The girl maybe. And I agree the drama and emotion looks awesome. Thanks for sharing, I always like seeing people genuinely moved by films and trailers.

I've watched over a dozen like it where the guy (or girl) gets very emotional.

I myself hadn't gotten that emotional over a trailer since that second The Force Awakens trailer we spoke of earlier. When Xavier says "Logan, you still have time." I get choked up. Its a line and shot placed perfectly in the trailer as it closes things out on a downer note. With TFA they were celebratory tears of hearing "Chewie, we're home." Here, its the flipside of that coin in that clearly this is a movie where we're coming to the end of these characters/actors we've been following 17 years now.

What I love about all of the fan reactions for LOGAN is that they always start off with people saying how they haven't been wowed by the previous two Wolvie films and aren't even that crazy about comics Wolvie.

Nah, every fan knows that HF wanted Han dead since 83 and we all knew walking into TFA that it was coming.

I just feel that these events hold the film back:

32 year gap post victory not given enough explanation.
Climax not as thrilling as SW/ESB or even ROTJ.
Han being divorced...wut! A huge slap in the face to I LOVE YOU/I KNOW.
Han being forgotten after his demise.
Lack of memorable side characters.
Maz, waste of Lupita.
Rathtar lol.

You can't substantiate that.

The trailer looks good IMO apart from the goofy lunge thing, but there's no way people can establish what an 'average reaction' to a trailer is.

Edit: Like Khev said, the girl's response might be a bit more normal. But the tears etc from the guy probably isn't average at all.

Loved the trailer, I watched it more than most since it was released. Especially when it kicks in with Logan reversing the car and the Reavers facing him. It looks like it has a good chase aspect similar to a Mad Max movie.

The trailer is good but not mind blowing for me. I'm still looking forward to seeing this movie and really hope it's good.

Fox ****ed up Emma Frost.

While I like most of the X movies, IMO Fox definitely ****ed up the whole X Universe for me by not following the original and new X-Men team line ups.

I don't buy it for one second for the average guy reaction to the trailer. The average girl, yes, but the average guy? Absolutely not.
