I beg to disagree that Manny has a massive ego. He is very down-to-earth, and his colleagues & former opponents can attest to that. Pick up the TIME Magazine where he was featured, and learn about him not just a boxer but as a person:

He should never be mentioned with the likes of Floyd Gayfeather. He's all talk and a shallow soul. It's not Manny's fault to be the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world while being a rolemodel. Not all big-buck earners have tails & two horns. :monkey3

As for the fight, it's really a disadvantage to have blood taken from you 2 days before the fight. That has never been done, hence the possibilities are endless as to the adverse effects of the test. It's good that Mayweather wants to do the blood-test, but that's actually to his advantage because he's bigger-built and probably has more blood volume to shed.

Look, I'm not going to change your mind about Pac. He's a homegrown fighter from your native Phillipines and you are clearly a fan of the boxer (and I'm going to respect that). It's just Pac is clearly ducking something and he's making too many excuses at this point about the blood test.

At different points, he said that he can't take blood tests because of his beliefs and superstitions. At another point, his trainer made the same remarks that there would be adverse effects of the test. Then Pac changes his mind and says that he's willing to take the test only on certain dates before the fight (and is willing to take a test afterwards). This clearly leaves a timetable open for cheating if scheduling is involved in this type of testing. The blood test that they want to perform is the same that are given to olympic athletes. It just throws a red flag at me that he's ducking this test and is repelling allegations by concocting a lawsuit for defamation. In the end, I really don't think either boxer wants this fight.

I agree with Nitro and Azure. both fighters are just being ridiculous already. if any one of them really wanted this fight to happen, none of this BS would be going on.

Don't worry man, no offense taken.. This is just a discussion. :)

I hope we have among us a nurse, doctor or medical technician who can shed light on this matter. Will two weeks or two days of blood-sample-taking before the fight differ in terms of the effects on the boxers, hence Manny & Floyd disagreeing on the time?
Is it really as simple as 'you take it, I take it', and the fight is even? Or Pacman is still at a disadvantage for being smaller built hence lesser tolerance of his body (being Asian - Westerners are known to have bigger physique than Asians as a fact)?

Just finished watching Tyson. Great documentary. Nothing I didn't already know about the man, but the old footage and hearing it from the man himself makes it worth the watch.

I've always said it, and I'll say it again. If Cus hadn't died so early, and Don King never entered the picture. Tyson would have never lost a fight and would be considered the greatest of all time.

Well, that is all she wrote for this one. Mayweather comes out as the yellow bellied coward who ducks opponents. Pacquiao tainted by Mayweather camp's doping allegations. win win for boxing all around.

Mayweather eventually chickens out. The greatest coward in boxing history - a fake champion.

this fight will for sure happen. it will be pushed back(so it doesn't come during March Madness) to the summer. Too much money to make for it not to happen.

Yea cause there's no way the bigger, stronger, better boxer wanted to fight the brawler...yea ok.

PB is the little wuss who yells an insult and as soon as the person starts walking in their direction the wuss runs away... then calls the person another name and runs away.

I watched an interview with PB with Brian Kenny and I wasn't prepared for just how inarticulate and (to be frank) kind of stupid PB is.

We totally understand that Pacquiao's not afraid of needles.. BLOOD DRAWING makes him weak. If you know the natural physiology of the human body, Manny Pacquiao is ALL TRUE! the human blood carries Red Blood Cells (RBC) which carries Oxygen as well as Nutrients to the body. Some people can replenish RBC quickly than others which in turn can regain their strength faster. But generally taking blood thus can make you WEAK!!! and secondly Blood drawing is a very dangerous procedure. It can cause Hematoma or Bruising to your skin that can lead to infection or secondary bleeding. For me, blood testing is really none sense.. Studies have shown that even Growth Hormones or GH Stimulating Substances can 100% be captured in a Stantard Urine Testing. So what Mayweather is doing is really BS! I believed that Floyd is Psychologically attacking Pacquiao. For one, Manny knows that he is much smaller than Floyd in Size. And taking his blood on the near days of the fight, if he is weakened, can aggravate his psyche that his conditioning is not at it's best. Watch Manny's interview during his Morales 1st fight where somebody trick him on taking his blood again 2 days before that fight. In turn, what was Morales saying after the where he won, " I CAN'T FEEL HIS (Pacquiao) PUNCHES"..
So for all of you morons out there who keep on insisting why Manny doesn't want to have a teaspoon of blood to be drawn, Y'all STUPID! It is not a teaspoon, it's a PINT of blood!! and that's a lot to ask for a P4P King of Boxing!!! Floyd cannot BULLY his way to this fight!! UH NO WAY
