My Henry Jones Sr ships tomorrow from Sideshow. :rock

Finally, a Medicom INDY figure worth discussing and getting excited about.

Is this the Young (young say 13 yeard-old) Indiana Jones?:lol

I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad that the SW offerings have soured me on purchasing anything else from Medicom. Although the Sr. has me tempted--- No way.

Damn, that figure just gets worse and worse looking... no offense to those that own it. But this is a figure I have no regrets skipping.

I dunno, its better than I thiught it might be. Plus I just got my Hasbro Dovchenko figure ( the only one of that line I had any time for!) and thats more medicom scale than standard 12 inch. I think it would look fairly good next to it now.
I might buy one if I can get a good deal.

What a few months and he'll probably be sub-$100.

Anyway with the way Sideshow is operating at present it may be the only Indy I get fairly soon!

My God...what happened? Honestly that's one of the most ridiculous figures I've ever seen. Looks like $20 Hasbro to me. Sr. looks good, if it were $65 to $75 range, but Indy...just awful for the price they charge.

It looks better in person. I am not the best photographer. The sculpt is really good. My only complaint on that is the nose is straight.

I would have liked a better gun belt/holster and for the web belt to be the right color, but it is definitely leaps and bounds above what Hasbro has put out. And who knows when/if Sideshow will release theirs.

The more I see it the more it's grown on me - I guess with Medicom people don't like the style anyway, because it is a different style from Western figures, and when the sculpt isn't that great, it's easy to just attack it. I won one in an auction fairly cheaply, so when it arrives I'll be able to decide for myself. At the very least I'll be able to take the jacket off and have it facing off with the Hasbro Cairo Swordsman, which will actually look bulkier than this figure.

I tend to not like Medicom's style on most figures but that's not it on this one. There just isn't anything that says high end figure about it really. The jacket is ok but beyond that it's really bad. That whip is atrocious.

I'm a bit surprised too because Medi's young Indy looks fantastic.

Hi everybody. This is my first post so I'll start by saying that although it's not a world beater it looks much better in real life than any pictures I've seen. These recent ones are particularly unflattering. I've padded out the shoulders to give a little more bulk, and sprayed with starch to make the trousers hang more realistically. These two simple actions have improved things substantially. Normally I'd have replaced the body with something better but I think the outfit would be too short and narrow to fit the Hot Toys body for example.

But yes, it's disappointing and you shouldn't have do this with an expensive figure. Medicom are going to have to up their game drastically as Hot Toys have left them trailing far behind. Compare their respective Dark Knight Two Face figures for example.

The whip is an especially wft part of the figure... just looks like it was made out of twizzlers :lol

And I own a lot of Medicom figures, generally like what they do... but his is a fail IMO.
