The odd thing is wasn't Liquid sent to the UK to grow up? But, there really isn't a timeline of any of the Snake's lives when they were growing up to go by.

I'm not ruling out at all that it isn't Liquid. I'm fairly convinced it's him.

Liquids in the trailer ? Got to watch it again I thought the boss wasn't around his clones ?

We're referring to the kid, Eli, in the trailer. He's a kid who "hates his cursed fate," resembles a young Liquid, and is supposedly there in Afghanistan. All we really know about Liquid is that he grew up in the UK and somewhere in the Middle East where he hunted jackals.

Didn't he spend a lot of time in Iraq and that's where his skin tone came from?

If he is indeed Liquid, were definitely getting a Snake cameo to some degree. Maybe even a Solidus in his 20's.

I'd say slight retcon. He's in Afghanistan, so I would say close enough. It's just guessing game since before the 90's there really is no backstory on him or even Snake for that matter.

Getting interesting I would play the game to find this all out but there is no guarantee its liquid wasn't solid's hair blonde too.

Also, I thought in one of the games Solid Snake acknowledged that he was trained by Big Boss prior to his first mission (Operation Intrude N313 aka Metal Gear 1)? Of course, Snake doesn't know he's a clone of Big Boss until MG2?

Hard to say, I think that's been retconned. In the PSX game it was blonde, but when you look at TTS he was given brown hair. I know that's not the best reference, but it was produced by Kojima.

In MGS2, the artwork for Pliskin was originally as a blonde. Who knows.

In MG2 itself it isn't stated he's his son, it was that tidbit in MGS1 when he tells it to Naomi.
