Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Willing to bet he got drunk at one E3's vip parties.

Kief wants some of that Koji booty.

He has become very femmy. He has a real short haircut back in the MGS1 days.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

not into the whole drunken mess thing. this is who is going to do voice work in my beloved series? i was warming to it a bit until the photo sharing began.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

That's why I did it! It's so ****ing hilarious that this guy is going to be the drunken face of the franchise.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I actually think that this game has a lot more potential for greatness than MGS 4. Episodic content might not be that bad, if the game is too enormous to fit on a single Blu Ray disk. But, I hate paying for additional content! I still haven't downloaded "The Tyranny of George Washington" for AC 3 - I just don't feel like spending $9 for each episode at the moment :lol.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

That episode-esque idea could work, MGS4 was very tedious when it came to cutscenes, they didn't make the game progression a whole lot more interesting as opposed to previous games AND Peace Walker, tell me what you want but PW cutscenes where freaking amazing, what I get from the article is that they rather cut down the cutscenes since they have less control because MGSV is open world, so I think it may work.

As long as it means cutscenes length only and not a quality Movie-to-TVSeries degradation.

Too soon to cast an actual opinion.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Idk if someone noticed this, but looking at the horse tail you can see marvelous physics, I mean, just makes me more anxious to be on the battlefield.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Troy Baker is confirmed to be playing Ocelot.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

MGSV will be 60 frames per second. Or at least, that's the goal:

"Once we start going into development for next-generation we're definitely looking for something better than [what] we have shown today," he said. Kojima added that the developer is aiming for a 60 frames per second refresh rate and a higher resolution for the game's Xbox One and PlayStation 4 releases.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

If you guys have the "Metal Gear Solid 4 Database" on the PS3, definitely check out the section with Big Boss. Even though it's five years old, it still has a lot of relevant info. Apparently, Big Boss is able to return to the U.S. Military in 1990 as the Commander of Foxhound. Perhaps this happened as a result of winning a big victory against "Cypher", and being able to clear his name - since he was being hunted down as a fugitive in Ground Zeroes.

I'm both excited for this game, and appalled by it. Big Boss doesn't ever seem to become evil from what I read in the database. He's just a tragic, misunderstood hero - who got trolled by one of his clones. In addition to being a messianic type of figure for disenfranchised soldiers around the world. I'm willing to bet that he was close to destroying The Patriots for good, until Solid Snake showed up and foiled his plans :slap :lol.
