Based on the simple fact that everyone knows RE is in the toilet and there is a lot of people in denial about the current state of MGS.

Oh C'mon, MGS is nowhere near being RE'd, there's nothing to be in denial about, MGS has had 2 games that have had weaker storyline, that's about it.

I recall that you have said yourself that MGS is not as bad as the state of RE, why the sudden detraction?
