Back in the first 2 games it wasn't so integral to the characters or story. It was good for a laugh with the posters and Snake beating off since it was new and not beaten to death, and forced on us. But look at the abomination that was Peace Walker with Paz in her undies and BB and Kaz in banana hammocks.

How can real fan just like that, accept that and not mock the idiotic decisions he's making?

I'm glad you guys are like-minded with me on this. It's so frustrating to be a fan of a franchise that I absolutely couldn't wait to buy the next game... to just being meh about it.

I lost track of this franchise since Metal Gear Solid, so the main guy in this game is the Boss? the original guy before Liquid and Snake showed up?

Yea for pretty much Solid Snake was the bad guy all along.

I hated from the beginning he was old. Then when you play it he's just so feeble and frail, and at the end you find out he was the butt of the joke. Nice one *******.

Ive been playing Legacy of Kain for the last few weeks. And It ran next to MGS for a while on ps1 then ps2. It started off As Kain (who you could say is "big boss") as the main guy, then in the future you become a guy out seeking revenge for the guy who made him (like Solid) but after a game and a half of playing as the new guy seeking the original you find out all is not what it seems, and maybe his actions are to uncover a greater evil.

But with Legacy of Kain it really works. With Metal Gear it seems like somebody thought of it at the last minute, it got green lit but nobody thought about the future.

They are fantastic. I played Soul Reaver, then Soul Reaver 2. Ive been playing Blood Omen 2, then ill play defiance and ill top it off with the original Blood Omen. (All though i should of went Blood Omen, Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Defiance then blood omen 2 for the timeline) I also recently bought the BBI Dumah Figure (he is the last " brother" in Soul Reaver and there was only ever a hand full made) but he wont be here till next week. It was my fave franchise back in the day. MGS and RE didnt come close to me.

Hence my MGS/RE/LOK display!

Its a shame nobody made a Gabe Logan

I think it's because were in a new generation of gamers who don't think outside the box and our taste-buds for games is more finely tuned.

Just think how spoiled we were growing up in the golden age of Resident Evil and Metal Gear Solid in their infancy.

I was playing Resident Evil 2 the other night and it just depresses me how ******* high that franchise is fallen.

I LOVED Soul Reaver when I was a kid, truly had an outstanding mood to the game. PAK needs to tape that license.

Sypthon Filter I & II were fantastic, to this day they are still very awesome. I played SPII two player a lot with a buddy, I was a wizard with headshots. I remember the score was like 40 to like 12 no bull ****

Say what you want about Re but its not as ****ed up as MGS at least core character's are still alive. The mistake they made was killing Wesker off.

Because Capcom doesn't have the ballz to kill any of them off. Not one "main" character is dead. I've never seen a franchise go for so long and everyone is alive and kicking.

Wesker's death completely decimated that franchise, Jake's *** hole appearance proves they know they ****ed up. Without him the behind the scenes, who ****ing cares about Resident Evil anymore?

Syphon Filter was such a fall from grace once it hit ps2. Ive no idea what heppened, it was just unplayable. It was kind of how MGS 4 played, but in ps1 graphics. Where as mgs on ps1 played like Micro machines. Though i did try to do a Syphon filter ps1 trilogy play through like 6 months ago i got 2/3 in to the first game and i just give up. its not fun anymore!
